Tonight on TNA Impact, we have a double dose of tag team action as we set the stage towards Bound for Glory next month.
Backstage, Elayna Black is talking about losing her opportunity at the TNA Knockouts World Championship at Lockdown in Chicago. She seemingly runs into The Elegance Brand and the new TNA Knockouts Television Champion, M By Elegance. M says that the difference between her and Black is that she doesn’t disappoint anyone who comes to see her. Black tells her to keep the title close, but M isn’t scared because she volunteers Heather By Elegance to fight her.
In tag team action tonight, Indi Hartwell teams up with Harley Hudson to take on the TNA Knockouts Champion, Xia Brookside, and the debuting Zoey Serrano. Serrano had attacked Hartwell last week and was signed as the newest TNA Knockout by Darie Rae, who is in commentary for this match. She looks to make her TNA in-ring debut here tonight, but Hartwell is dead set on making it past her towards the Knockouts title.
Hartwell sends Serrano to the outside, but Brookside doesn’t seem to be getting along well with her tag team partner. Serrano starts getting furious and attacks a fan.
Teamwork is not in their favor as Serrano takes out Brookside with a hard lariat.
Despite this setback, Serrano looks to play a bit dirty as she and Brookside take over Hudson in the match. Hudson finds an opening to make a hot tag out to Hartwell and almost takes out Serrano until Brookside breaks the pin.
Serrano takes out Hartwell with the knee, but Brookside forces a tag in but fails to score the pinfall. Hartwell and Hudson take Serrano out of the equation, as Hartwell locks in a submission to make the Knockouts World Champion tap out.
Speaking of tag teams, the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Champions, Allie and Kiera Hogan, are holding an open challenge against Shazza McKenzie and Vipress tonight. Hogan, who is taking the place of missing Rosemary, looks to prove that their new tag team is not just a one-hit wonder.
Allie starts it off with McKenzie and gets some good teamwork going with Hogan. Hogan has McKenzie’s number for a bit, but a distraction from the referee allows Vipress to take control. The three-time Knockouts tag champ finds her opening and makes the hot tag out to Allie. Allie hits the Codebreaker on Vipress, and Hogan follows up to pick up the win.
Rae is backstage making a business call, but Hartwell interrupts her by telling her that she’s more than earned an opportunity at the Knockouts title. That isn’t the plan, according to Rae, as she has named Gabby Forza as the new No. 1 contender for the Knockouts title. Hartwell believes Rae is trying to get under her skin, but let’s see if The Gnomie has what it takes to gain the crown.
What did you think about tonight’s TNA Impact? Can Hartwell get through to Rae? What did you think of Serrano’s debut? Who is next to challenge Allie and Hogan? Let us know below!
