Accrington Stanley v Grimsby Town – 7.45pm
Accrington Stanley have won just one of their last six meetings against Grimsby Town, they’ve also lost their last two league games in this campaign, picking up just one point from a possible nine so far. Grimsby Town are unbeaten (W1, D2), they’ve lost just one of their last nine midweek fixtures in League Two (W6, D2).

Bristol Rovers v Colchester United – 7.45pm
Following an open day defeat, Bristol Rovers have responded well with back-to-back victories, although they’ve won just two of their last nine EFL games against Colchester United. Remarkably, the U’s have won just one of their last twenty-six away games in midweek (D12, L13), beating Grimsby Town 3-2 back in October 2023.

Cheltenham Town v York City – 7.45pm
Cheltenham Town have impressed so far this season, with their only defeat sandwiched between a 2-1 victory against Rotherham and most recently a 2-2 draw away at Barnet, though they haven’t won in this fixture since 2004. York City’s return to the Football League has been a good one, currently unbeaten in League Two (W2, D1).

Chesterfield v Gillingham – 7.45pm
Chesterfield have won just one of their three games so far this season in the league, defeat here would see them lost their first two home league games of a Football League season for the first time since 2008/2009. Gillingham are on the hunt for their first win of the season (L1, D2), they’ve lost just one of their last six league games against Chesterfield.

Crewe Alexandra v Walsall – 7.45pm
Crewe remain unbeaten in League Two (W2, D1) and come into this game as the only side in the league yet to concede a goal. Walsall are the visitors, they sit 2nd in the league having also taken seven points (W2, D1), they’ve won their last three games against Crewe in League Two.

Exeter City v Barnet – 7.45pm
Exeter return home after a 2-1 defeat at York on Saturday, it’s now just one win from their first three games in League Two. Barnet are the early leaders following their unbeaten start to the campaign (W2, D1) but they tend to struggle in this fixture, winning just one of their last nineteen Football League games against Exeter City (D7, L11).

Fleetwood Town v Oldham Athletic – 7.45pm
Fleetwood have made a bright start to their campaign, unbeaten in their first three games (W1, D2), whilst they’ve only lost one of their last seven league meetings with Oldham Athletic. The Latics head to Fleetwood off the back of an impressive 3-0 victory against Swindon on Saturday, although they’ve lost their last four league away games, last losing more in a row back in 2013.

Northampton Town v Crawley Town – 7.45pm
Northampton are still looking for their first win of the new campaign (D2, L1), victories in their last two home league games against Crawley Town could give them some confidence. Crawley have picked up one win from their first three outings (L2), though victory in this one would see them win both of their first two away games of a Football League campaign for the first time ever, it’s their 16th EFL Season.
Prediction: Northampton Town 1-0 Crawley Town – 6/1
Rochdale v Shrewsbury Town – 7.45pm
This is already a big game for Rochdale, they sit bottom of League Two following their return last season, they’ve lost all three games so far, scoring just once. Shrewsbury are another side that don’t look great although a 1-0 victory over Salford on Saturday will boost their confidence as they head to the north west of England.

Salford City v Newport County – 7.45pm
Salford were one of the favourites for promotion this season, yet they sit 2nd from bottom having lost all three of their games so far, concerning. Newport County spent last season in a relegation battle but they’ve already taken four points this season (W1, D1, L1), they won this fixture 3-1 back in February.

Swindon Town v Port Vale – 7.45pm
Swindon return to home soil following their 3-0 defeat at Oldham at the weekend, they’ve picked up four points from a possible nine so far. Port Vale are a side looking for their first win of the season (D2, L1), with the last five meetings between these two sides producing at least three goals, we should be in for goals.

Tranmere Rovers v Rotherham United – 7.45pm
Tranmere had a terrible campaign last season but have started this new season unbeaten (W1, D2), victory here would see them win both their first two home games of a Football League season for the first time since 2012/2013. Rotherham picked up their first win of the season at home to Chesterfield last weekend, they’ve lost thirteen of their last fifteen away games in the league.
