William Hill News tipster @Footy_Tipster previews Saturday’s Premier League clash between Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United.

Our Prediction: Newcastle United To Win (15/8), Tottenham 2-3 Newcastle (25/1)

There’s early pressure on Tottenham as they return to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after a flat opening‑day defeat in the Premier League, Newcastle United arrive looking to continue their impressive run in this fixture.

Now, let’s take a closer look at some Premier League odds and betting angles for Saturday’s fixture:

Tottenham Hotspur v Newcastle United – Saturday, 5.30pm

View all available markets at William Hill

    • Tottenham Hotspur survived relegation by the skin of their teeth last season, making it back‑to‑back campaigns in which Spurs finished seventeenth and early signs suggest they may be in for another long season.
    • Roberto De Zerbi impressed during his short spell in charge last term, and with a full season ahead of him, plus the quality of players Spurs have added over the summer, you’d expect Spurs to be challenging the top six, yet they were left embarrassed on Saturday after a 3-0 thumping at Brentford.
    • The last team that Tottenham want to face right now is Newcastle, as they’ve lost six of their last eight Premier League games against the Magpies, whilst they’ve failed to keep a clean sheet in any of the last fourteen meetings in this fixture, William Hill price Spurs at 5/4 to pick up their first win of the Premier League campaign.

    • Newcastle United head into the new season facing a period of transition following the departure of Eddie Howe and several key players, although you wouldn’t have thought it after their performance in their opener against Liverpool.
    • The Magpies were very unlucky to concede a 99th minute penalty last weekend to earn just a point but there’s plenty of encouragement and a 3-2 victory against West Brom in the EFL Cup will just boost their confidence ever so slightly.
    • The good news for Newcastle ahead of their trip to the capital, is the fact they’ve won more Premier League away games against Spurs than any other opponent (13), whilst winning three of their last four visits to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium suggests there’s value in an away win at 15/8 with William Hill.
