    William Hill News tipster @Footy_Tipster previews Tuesday’s EFL Cup action between Plymouth Argyle and Coventry City.

    Our Prediction: Both Teams To Score & Coventry To Win (23/10), Plymouth 1-2 Coventry (13/2)

    Pymouth Argyle face Coventry City at Home Park on Tuesday night in the EFL Cup second round, with both sides looking to kick‑start their seasons after mixed early‑campaign form.

    Now, let’s take a closer look at some EFL Cup odds and betting angles for Tuesday’s fixture:

    Plymouth v Coventry City – Tuesday, 7.45pm

    View all available markets at William Hill

    • Plymouth will feature in the EFL Cup second round for the eighth time in the last nine years following a 2-0 victory against rivals Exeter City in the last round, they’ve not been into the third round of this competition since the 2007/2008 campaign.
    • Plymouth Argyle haven’t started their League One campaign the way they had hoped, they come into Tuesday’s clash with just a point from a possible six thus far.
    • Tom Cleverley’s side will have one eye on pushing for promotion from League One this season, and that remains their main priority, but they still go into this tie looking to upset the odds, with William Hill pricing the Greens at 3/1.

    • Coventry City began life back in the Premier League on Friday night with a trip to the champions Arsenal, they were unable to defy the odds in that one but the Sky Blues won’t be too worried.
    • Frank Lampard’s side travel to Devon with bigger games on the horizon and we could see a few changes for the Premier League side, they lost their last meeting here 3-1 back in 2025.
    • It’ll be interesting to see what side Frank Lampard picks here but even with changes, the Premier League outfit should have enough quality to progress into the next round, 7/10 with William Hill if punters fancy the away win.

    William Hill’s Acca Boost – Up to 100% boost on football Accas.

    Get up to double your winnings on your football accas on 90 mins, both teams to score & over / under goals markets.

    Available pre-match and in-play.

    How to take part

    Here’s how to get involved in the Acca boost offer:

    1. Place a Qualifying Acca (football accas of 4+ selections (min odds 1/5) from Qualifying Markets) in any William Hill shop via the Sports Betting Terminals or over the counter on the Smart Hub SSBT or online via the William Hill Website or App(s);
    2. If the bet wins, an Acca Boost will be added to your bet returns.
    3. The % of your win back as an Acca Boost will be determined by the number of selections in your Qualifying Acca (see full terms for breakdown of Acca Boost available).

    Significant Conditions

    1. The promotion runs from 08:00 (UK time) on Thursday 7th August 2025 until otherwise cancelled by us in accordance with these Terms (the “Promotion Period”).
    2. This Acca Boost promotion is available to both online customers in the United Kingdom and Ireland using the William Hill website (williamhill.com – the “Website”) or William Hill iOS or Android Mobile app (together, the “Apps”) and UK retail customers in William Hill shops.
    3. To qualify, place a Qualifying Acca on a Sports Betting Terminal or over the counter on Smart Hub SSBT in William Hill shops, or online via the Website or the App, during the Promotion Period.
    4. A “Qualifying Acca” is:
      1. A cash stake of any value (no minimum stake);
      2. On any football acca made of 4 or more selections;
      3. Each with odds of 1/5 (1.2) or bigger;
      4. On the Promotion Markets.
    5. The “Promotion Markets” are:
      1. 90 Minutes;
      2. 90 Minutes 2 Up;
      3. Both Teams To Score;
      4. Match Under/Over Goals.
    6. No opt in required. If the requirements of a Qualifying Acca are met, the promotion will be applied automatically. If any acca contains any selection with odds of less than 1/5 (1.2), it will not be a Qualifying Acca.
    7. Qualifying Acca wins (less the value of the original stake) will receive an “Acca Boost”, whereby winnings will be boosted by a variable percentage, dependent on the number of selections in the Qualifying Acca:
      1. 4 selections – 5% Acca Boost
      2. 5 selections – 7.5% Acca Boost
      3. 6 selections – 10% Acca Boost

      9. 12 selections – 40% Acca Boost
      10. 13 selections – 45% Acca Boost
      11. 14 selections – 50% Acca Boost
      12. 15 selections or above – 100% Acca Boost
    8. The increasing percentage of rewards in the Acca Boost reflects the relative risk of placing Qualifying Accas with a higher number of selections.
    9. The following maximum Acca Boost amounts will be applied per Qualifying Acca:
      1. For retail customers: £2,000
      2. For online customers: £10,000.
    10. There is no daily limit of Qualifying Accas.
    11. In the case of void selections within a Qualifying Acca, the Acca Boost will still apply but the percentage applied will be calculated according to the final number of winning selections.
    12. In the case of an Acca dropping to three selections or less, the acca will lose its Qualifying Acca status and Acca Boost will not apply.
    13. Any Acca Boost on winnings will be applied as part of the standard bet settlement process.
    14. Bets you place using free bets cannot be combined with the Acca Boost
    15. Any acca that has been cashed out will not be eligible for an Acca Boost.
    16. For retail customers, the promotion is not available on standard over the counter bets.
