Ben Whittaker Leads Birmingham Card Against Conor Wallace

The final eliminator gives Whittaker an opportunity to convert his popularity into a world championship campaign after spending his early career in developmental matchups. Wallace can take that position for himself by beating Matchroom’s chosen attraction in Birmingham.

Matchroom newcomer Odel Kamara makes his professional debut on the undercard. The 22-year-old captured seven national amateur titles before joining trainer Tony Sims.

“It starts October 3 in Birmingham. I promise to give the fans excitement so they know what I’m all about,” Kamara stated in Matchroom Boxing’s press release. “This is the start to a busy end to the year.”

No opponent has been named for Kamara. His placement on a prominent DAZN card and promise of another fight before the end of 2026 show that Eddie Hearn intends to keep the new signing active.

British super welterweight champion Bilal Fawaz defends his title against Eithan James. Fawaz defeated Ishmael Davis in February before signing a new multi-fight agreement with Matchroom.

Hamza Uddin challenges Sean Bruce for the British and Commonwealth flyweight titles. Matchroom has placed Uddin into a major championship fight after only six professional contests. He would become the first British Bengali fighter to capture the British title by defeating Bruce.

English super featherweight champion Ibraheem Sulaimaan defends against Sonny Hardy. Aaron Bowen challenges Klint Baptiste for the Midlands Area super middleweight title, while Adam Maca returns in another undercard bout.

The supporting lineup gives the Birmingham card several fights with domestic consequences. Whittaker leads the bill, but he is not the only boxer facing a meaningful test.
