AEW Dynamite Results (8/12/2026): Live Match Updates and Highlights
The show opens up with Excalibur, Tony Schiavone and Paul Wight welcoming us as Will Ospreay’s music hits and he makes his way down to the ring.
Ospreay then grabs a mic and starts off by asking the fans if anyone lost a lot of money, encouraging them to go win it back before talking about Grand Slam Mexico last week. Ospreay then says he is grateful for the love of the fans last week, especially after finding out that his grandfather passed away. Ospreay then addresses the emotions he had about this before saying his grandfather would ask him why he’s crying and do a flip. Ospreay then talks about pushing past this hurdle and doing his best for the fans before turning his attention to Kenny Omega. Ospreay then addresses the fact Omega wasn’t in Mexico last week but is backstage tonight, calling him out for a chat but Don Callis makes his way out instead.
Callis then gets a “F**k Don Callis” chant. Callis talks about his time together with Kenny Omega and how they cheated to dethrone Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship. Callis then brags about betraying Omega when he thought he could do it by himself. Callis then tells Ospreay not to be fooled into thinking that the road to Wembley is paved with gold. Callis then says it’s paved with blood. Jake Doyle, Rocky Romero and the other Don Callis family members then go after Ospreay with a 4-on-1 mugging, but Kenny Omega shows up. Omega then clears all four men with a metal pipe. He then enters the ring with Ospreay and things are tense.
Omega then threatens to hit Ospreay with the pipe. He then stops and tells Ospreay that he wears his heart on his sleeve, but he never thinks. Omega then says he warned Ospreay about Callis and Jon Moxley. Omega then says going forward, he isn’t going to help Ospreay. He then says it’s just the two of them. Ospreay then says he appreciates the help, but he didn’t ask for it. He then says one could argue that this was a moment of subtle betrayal. Ospreay’s music then hits as he leaves the ring. Omega then poses for the crowd.
Commentary then hypes up the Continental Challenge Cup. They then go over the rules of the tournament before we take a look back at the first round matches from Collision last Saturday. From there, they hype up the tourney matches for tonight as well as the rest of the lineup.
MJF then makes his way down to the ring for the first match of the night and Nick Wayne and Mike Bailey follow.
3-Way Match (For The #2 Spot In The All In: London Casino Gauntlet): Nick Wayne vs. MJF vs. “Speedball” Mike Bailey
The match starts off with MJF sliding out of the ring. Bailey then mockingly pats Wayne’s head and both men go back and forth with one another before Bailey hits a hurricanrana to Wayne and Wayne responds with an uppercut to Bailey. Wayne then flies over the top rope with a tope con hilo to take out Bailey on the outside, then sends him back in the ring. MJF then gets back inside, but Bailey hits a missile dropkick to MJF to send him crashing back out of the ring. Bailey then climbs up the middle rope, but MJF pulls him off and holds Bailey in place for Wayne to hit a right hand on Bailey’s midsection. MJF then raises Wayne’s arm and pins Bailey, but Wayne pulls MJF off Bailey and gets in MJF’s face.
MJF then slaps Wayne, but Wayne nails MJF with a thrust kick and hits a Snap Dragon suplex to Bailey. Bailey then responds with a couple of double flipping knees to Wayne and hits a springboard moonsault to take out MJF and Wayne on the outside. Wayne then hits a spinning kick to Bailey’s head and follows it up with the Prodigy Plex. He then goes for a pin, but MJF breaks the fall and Wayne sets up for Wayne’s World. MJF then intercepts Wayne with a right hand and hits a powerbomb-backbreaker combination to him. Bailey then hits a couple of flipping knees to the back of Wayne’s spine, but MJF dumps Bailey out of the ring and cinches in the Salt of the Earth Armbar on Wayne. Wayne then taps out.

After the match, MJF grabs a microphone and promises to leave Wembley with a shot at the title he never lost. MJF then runs down Andrade El Idolo before Andrade’s music to play, but it’s just a ruse, something MJF laughs about before saying he knows Andrade ain’t here because he whooped his a**. He then goes on to run down Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay, promising that God won’t be there to save them from losing to him when the time comes.
We then head to the Brawling Birds pub, only to find Divine Dominion standing there instead. They then run down the Birds for seemingly only getting a title shot because it’s their home country and promising to defeat them in front of their countryfolk. They then have a toast to the Birds, saying it was a good run before dropping their mugs to the floor and walking off.
We then see Mick Foley and he is standing by with the Bang Bang Gang as Jay White addresses facing David Finlay in a Continental Cup tourney match. White talks about the importance of finally settling a score with Finlay and the fact the rules will keep The Dogs and Death Riders away. He then promises victory tonight and says if you’re not down with that they’ve got two words for you Guns Up.
Jay White then makes his way down to the ring for the next match of the night and David Finlay follows with Clark Connors coming out to the stage with him only to make his exit while we get a post-Collision promo with Finlay addresses facing White at Dynamite before this match gets underway.
AEW Continental Cup Challenge Tournament First Round Match: Bang Bang Gang’s “Switchblade” Jay White vs. The Dogs’ David Finlay
The match starts off with Jay White immediately going after David Finlay, letting out some frustrations over their issues as he sends Finlay into the barricade. White then brings Finlay back into the ring, hitting some hard shots to take Finlay to the corner. Finlay then turns it around with some shots of his own, less focused on getting a pin and more on inflicting pain on his former friend. This then allows White to get back into the match, forcing Finlay to the apron but Finlay goes back after him with a jawbreaker on the top rope. White is able to swing the momentum back in his favor as he ends up sending Finlay to the outside, hitting a suplex that drops Finlay onto the apron.
White then brings Finlay back into the ring for another suplex and goes for a cover and gets a two. Finlay is able to retreat to the corner for a breather before taking White to the mat with a neckbreaker. Finlay then gets sent into the turnbuckle with an exploder by White, who follows it up with some chops before Finlay turns it around with a DDT for a near fall. Both men are back on their feet, with Finlay breaking free of a Blade Runner attempt for a near fall before White counters for a two count of his own. Finlay then takes control as he sends White to the corner, but White hits him with some punches to the head. Finlay then sent to the mat by white, who hits a half and half suplex on Finlay but can’t bridge for the pin as he is in pain from the impact.
White then tries to push past this as he goes after Finlay, but Finlay turns it around to drop White to the mat. Finlay then goes for a cover, but White manages to kick out. Finlay then brings White to his feet but White fights out of it, setting up for a double underhook powerbomb and a near fall. Finlay then counters a Blade Runner into a brainbuster across the knee. Finlay then goes for a cover, but he only gets a two. Finlay then stands White back up for a series of lariats, only for White to counter a brainbuster into a Blade Runner for the win.

Commentary then hypes up the main event of Jack Perry facing Jon Moxley, but up next we will hear from the new AEW World Trios Champions in “Hangman” Adam Page and Brodido.
We then head to ringside as Tony Schiavone talks about the crowning of new AEW World Trios Champions at Grand Slam Mexico. He then welcomes “Hangman” Adam Page and Brodido to the ring. The crowd then pops as the new champs make their way out and we get a look at how they won the titles last week as the trio enters the ring. Bandido then shows some love to the fans and Brody King gets a good pop from the crowd before Page asks if he can speak some Spanish only for Swerve Strickland’s music to hit. Strickland then makes his way out alongside Prince Nana, who takes the mic to run down Schiavone.
He then hands the mic to Strickland, who talks about trauma bonding before addressing three men who have bad blood with him out here celebrating. Strickland then says he’s the man all three of them have something in common about. He then addresses beating Bandido at Double or Nothing and his personal history with Brody King and how he last saw King laying in a pool of his own blood. Strickland then says what’s really funny is how this all comes down to the last of these, addressing Adam Page. Strickland then says they were on the same page, but while he’s gone Page goes after the World Championship and lost. He then asks what Page’s legacy is going to be now and if he is going to ride off into the sunset.
Page then turns this around on Strickland, saying he’s one to talk about results. Page then says he has seen Strickland do some crazy s**t this past year, but hasn’t had much to show for it. This confrontation is then cut short by the arrival of The Demand and The Lethal Twist. Ricochet then says he wants to know what Strickland is doing out here anyway as this is official trios business. He then asks if Prince Nana is going to step back into the rinG as GOA would love to put him down for good. He then talks about what Strickland did to him a while back and how he abandoned GOA, but he saw their potential and that led all three of them to a run as World Trios Champions. He then says if this was the NFL they’d have instant replay to show that Bishop Kaun’s shoulders weren’t down for the three count, saying they demand a rematch for their titles.
He then tells Strickland to swerve his a** on out and get to stepping so they can finish their business and Strickland reluctantly obliges but before he leaves, Strickland says King may be doing a lot of barking but Ricochet is the one who’s a b***h. This then has Ricochet wanting to go after Strickland, but GOA hold him back as Strickland heads to the back. Page then offers a rematch to The Demand right here and now, but Ricochet he wants to do this on their time before they leave.
We then see Renee Paquette interviewing AEW Women’s World Champ Willow Nightingale, but Mercedes Moné brutally assaults her and whips her with her championship. She then adds insult to injury by calling her a dumb bi***h.
We then clear ringside out for the next match as Jericho makes his way down to the ring and Kevin Knight follows with Don Callis at ringside. He tells Knight to do this for him before leaving and Knight goes after Jericho to get this match underway.
AEW TNT Championship Match: Don Callis Family’s “The Jet” Kevin Knight (c) vs. Jericho
The match starts off with Knight sending Jericho to the ropes with some strikes, but Jericho fights back with some chops of his own before hitting a brainbuster on Knight. Jericho then continues the fight before sending Knight to the ropes, where Knight goes for a leg lariat but Jericho manages to turn it round, forcing Knight to the corner. Jericho then hits some punches on Knight and he follows it up with a hurricanrana that sends Knight to the mat. Knight then gets to his feet but is quickly sent to the outside, where Jericho gets the drop on Knight. Jericho then hangs out with Paul Wight before continuing to go after Knight, who sends Jericho crashing into the barricade.
Knight then regains control as he sends Jericho to the mat. He then goes for a Lionsault but takes a couple of knees from Jericho, who brings Knight up for some more strikes and sends him to the ropes. Knight then stops himself and sends Jericho to the ramp for a leaping lariat. Knight then continues to go after Jericho until Jericho sends him onto the ramp, only to be distracted with following Don Callis at ringside. Knight then gets back into the ring and leaps out for a dive, only for Jericho to intercept him. Knight is then sent back to the ring as Jericho goes for the Walls of Jericho, but Knight counters for a near fall.
Jericho then counters for a two of his own before Knight tries to sneak a pin with his feet on the ropes, but the referee catches it. Knight then argues with the official about this and that allows Jericho to try the same on him for a two count. Knight then turns it around, sending Jericho to the corner for some punches but Jericho hits a powerbomb on him for a two count. He then immediately goes for the Walls of Jericho, but Don Callis climbs onto the apron. Jericho then inexplicably comes stepping toward the ropes, likely distracted with keeping the hold on to notice Callis pulling out a screwdriver and he jabs Jericho in the head with it.
Knight then goes for the cover, but it’s not enough to keep Jericho down. Knight then goes up top for a UFO Splash, but drops onto a Codebreaker from Jericho. Callis then once again gets on the apron, distracting the referee as Knight hits a low blow on Jericho followed by a Crash Landing for the win.

We then head to the back to hear from the Death Riders ahead of Jon Moxley’s main event match against Jack Perry. Claudio Castagnoli addresses not knowing who he faces in the next round, but says he doesn’t care because ultimately they are just fighting ourselves. Moxley then addresses how this tournament could go, saying his own run as champion could come to an end tonight.
Kris Statlander then makes her way down to the ring for the next match of the night and Viva Van is already waiting inside the ring.
Singles Match: Kris Statlander vs. Viva Van
The match starts off with Statlander nailing Van with a shoulder tackle. Van then responds with a hurricanrana to Statlander, but Statlander sends Van crashing into the mat and she hits a step-up tijeras to her. She then charges at Van in the corner, but Van moves out of the way and hits a flipping kick to Statlander’s head. Statlander then hits a Wednesday Night Fever to Van and pins her for the win.

After the match, Mick Foley joins Statlander in the ring to inform her that she’ll be part of a TBS Championship 4-Way Match next week where Maya World will defend her title against Statlander, Persephone and Hikaru Shida.
Statlander then puts Persephone and Shida on notice when Foley asks for her thoughts on the match, but Shida and Persephone appear to surround Statlander around either side of the ring. Thunder Rosa and Maya World then make their way down for the next match of the night.
Tag Team Match: CMLL World Women’s Champion Persephone and Hikaru Shida vs. AEW TBS Champion Maya World and “La Mera Mera” Thunder Rosa
The match starts off with Maya World and Persephone and Persephone takes control before tagging in Shida. She then lays into the World until Rosa gets a tag, looking to turn things around but to no avail. Shida then stays in control as she tags in Persephone, who mocks Rosa. Rosa then sends Shida to the outside before laying into Persephone. She then hits the ropes to fend off Shida on the outside, but this allows Persephone to blindside her. She then sends World crashing into the guardrail and she mocks the crowd.
Persephone then steps on Rosa to stay in control. She then props Rosa against the ropes, distracting the referee as Shida hits a cheap shot. A tag is then made as the pair knock World away before looking for a double suplex on Rosa who ends up laying them out instead. A tag is then made to World, who gets the drop on both opponents. She then hits a leaping back elbow on each of them before rolling up Shida. Persephone then charges at her and gets caught in a fall away slam by World who bridges for a near fall on Shida.
Shida is back up, sending World to the outside but a blind tag is made to Rosa who goes into it with Shida. Shida then wins the exchange, hitting a Falcon Arrow for a two count before World breaks it up. World then fights off Persephone as well before getting an official tag, where she hits Shida with a stunner. Persephone then grabs a hold of her, but Shida accidentally collides with her partner allowing World to hit a bridging fall away slam for the win.

After the match, both wommen celebrate with Statlander joining them.
Darby Allin then cuts a promo and addresses those asking him about his world title run, saying he has no regrets as he admits to burning the candle at both ends. Allin then says Kevin Knight has been doing the same with the run as TNT Champion, addressing his personal history with Knight and saying that if he beats him one more time at All In when falls count anywhere, he shows exactly the potential that he has known about him.
We then hear from Kyle Fletcher. Fletcher says he has had three title defenses in three countries, so number four will be in the United Kingdom at Wembley Stadium for All In. Don Callis then says he had a chat with Tony Khan about this match and learned that there is a former International Champion who hasn’t had a rematch. Fletcher is then annoyed realizing this means he’s facing Konosuke Takeshita, but Callis says that he isn’t the only one as he will defend against Takeshita and Kazuchika Okada, another former champ who hasn’t had a rematch. Fletcher is then not thrilled about the added challenge, but Okada insists the only thing that matters is that the International Title stays in the Family.
Jack Perry then makes his way down to the ring for the main event of the night as the fans sing along with his theme. Jon Moxley then makes his way down to the ring through the crowd, with the fans cheering and even chanting his name as we get things underway.

The match starts off with both men locking up and they trade offense until Moxley gets Perry to the mat on a waist lock. Perry then gets to his feet, forcing Moxley to the ropes for a break. They then lock up again and this time Perry gets some shots in on Moxley, who sends Perry to the ropes. Perry then turns this around to send Moxley to the outside. Perry then goes to the ropes for a dive, but Moxley intercepts with a forearm. Moxley then sends Perry into the ring post before soaking in the crowd’s approval. He then heads back into the ring as the referee begins the count.
Perry then gets to his feet using the barricade and Moxley breaks the count by following Perry. Moxley then sends Perry toward the barricade but is intercepted by Perry, only to be sent crashing to the timekeeper area by Moxley. Both men are back in the ring now, with Moxley hitting a body slam on a busted open Perry for a near fall. He then goes after the face some more, digging into it with his knuckles as the referee tries to intervene. Moxley then backs off from that but gets right back into it with a knee strike before digging into the face yet again. Hammerlock of sorts on Perry, who gets to the ropes for a break.
Moxley then brings Perry to his feet and to the ropes, where he hits Perry with a shoulder tackle and another knee strike. This time Moxley takes Perry to the corner, running him down about wanting to be in the main event before sending him to the ropes only for Perry to turn it around, sending Moxley to the outside with a dropkick. He then hits the ropes for a dive, sending Moxley into the barricade and back into the ring. He then goes for a moonsault and a cover, but Moxley kicks out and he goes for a bulldog choke. Perry then manages to escape but gets dropped hard to the mat as Moxley gets a two count. He then attacks Perry again for another near fall.
Moxley then lays in an onslaught of strikes on Perry. The referee is then checking if Perry can defend himself. The referee then calls for Moxley to step back, checking on Perry once more but Perry isn’t ready to give up yet. This then riles Moxley up as Perry gets to his feet, flipping Moxley off. Moxley then hits some hard shots, but Perry refuses to fall and as he gets sent to the ropes he fires back with a lariat. Perry is then back up and he hits another one on Moxley and goes for a piledriver, but Moxley counters. Perry then turns it into a sunset flip of sorts for a two count before transitioning to a Snare Trap on Moxley.
Moxley then escapes. Perry then cinches in the hold back in on Moxley, but Moxley manages to reverse into a Bulldog Choke. Perry then powers up to his feet, but drops to his knees. Perry then powers back up to his feet, but once again drops him to his knees. Moxley then brings Perry to the mat and cinches a choke on him as Perry passes out.

After the match, Jon Moxley shakes Jack Perry’s hand and both men stand tall as the show comes to a close.
