William Hill News tipster @Footy_Tipster previews Wednesday’s UEFA Super Cup final between PSG and Aston Villa.

Our Prediction: Winner Of Tie – Aston Villa (13/8), PSG 1-1 Aston Villa (6/1) – Villa To Win On Penalties (13/2)

The Red Bull Arena in Salzburg is the venue for this UEFA Super Cup final between Paris Saint-Germain and Aston Villa on Wednesday evening.

Now, let’s take a closer look at some UEFA Super Cup odds and betting angles for Wednesday’s fixture:

    PSG v Aston Villa – Wednesday, 8pm

View all available markets at William Hill

    • UEFA Champions League winners PSG head to Salzburg looking to defend their UEFA Super Cup crown, having beaten Tottenham Hotspur in last year’s final. The Parisians now have the chance to join AC Milan and Real Madrid in winning the competition in back‑to‑back seasons, adding another layer of significance to this year’s showdown.
    • Luis Enrique has already built an extraordinary record in Paris, lifting twelve trophies in his three seasons in charge to become the most successful manager in the club’s history. He now has the opportunity to collect two more pieces of silverware in the space of a few days, with this Super Cup clash followed by Sunday’s Trophee des Champions meeting with Lens.
    • PSG are still working towards full sharpness after playing only two pre‑season fixtures before Wednesday’s match — a 3-0 defeat to Mallorca and a 1-1 draw with Manchester United — hardly ideal preparation. Even so, history is firmly on their side: the Champions League winners have lifted the Super Cup in each of the last seven editions. PSG are 3/4 with William Hill to extend that run and win the game inside the distance.

    • UEFA Europa League holders Aston Villa head into the UEFA Super Cup looking to lift the trophy for just the second time in their history, having last won it back in 1982 with a 3-1 aggregate victory over Barcelona. It’s a competition Unai Emery has yet to crack, with the Villa boss losing all three of his previous attempts, and the departures of Morgan Rogers and Youri Tielemans certainly won’t make this year’s challenge any easier.
    • Pre‑season hasn’t been straightforward either. Villa picked up three wins, but each of their friendlies against top European opposition — FC Porto, Real Sociedad and Bayern Munich — ended in defeat, leaving questions about how sharp they are heading into this one.
    • History doesn’t sit entirely in Villa’s favour, with the club winning their opening game in just one of the last five seasons. But if punters believe Emery’s side can take advantage of PSG’s limited pre‑season action, Villa are 10/3 with William Hill to win this inside 90 minutes.

    11. In the case of void selections within a Qualifying Acca, the Acca Boost will still apply but the percentage applied will be calculated according to the final number of winning selections.
    12. In the case of an Acca dropping to three selections or less, the acca will lose its Qualifying Acca status and Acca Boost will not apply.
    13. Any Acca Boost on winnings will be applied as part of the standard bet settlement process.
