Maxxine Dupri makes life as a WWE Superstar look pretty glamorous, but she says there’s one part of the job fans can’t fully understand until they’ve actually lived it — being on the road constantly.
During a recent interview WittyWhittier, Maxxine was asked what comes with being a WWE Superstar that fans might overlook. The interviewer brought up the discipline required to maintain a strict diet and workout routine while traveling, but Maxxine laughed that part off. For her, staying in shape isn’t the problem.
“I mean, I was born great, born disciplined. So, like, eating healthy and working out, I do that in my sleep.”
What actually wears on WWE talent, according to Maxxine, is the schedule. Being a WWE Superstar means spending huge stretches away from home while bouncing from city to city, something she described as both one of the best and toughest parts of the job.
“I think I’m going to say the schedule. I think people just don’t realize how much you’re not home and how much you’re spending time on the road, which is a beautiful thing. I think it’s like the blessing and the curse, right? So, I’m going to say that.”
And Maxxine says watching WWE stars travel on social media doesn’t really tell the whole story. The early flights, the constant movement and sometimes landing only to head straight into another show creates a grind that is hard to explain from the outside.
“I think people do understand, but until you’ve experienced those early flights and then landing and going straight to another show, I think until you’ve really experienced that, you can’t fully understand it.”
That schedule has been part of WWE life for generations, and Maxxine isn’t complaining about getting to travel the world. She just wants fans to understand that the glamorous side comes with plenty of airports, missed time at home and very little opportunity to slow down.
