Ben Jacobs did a long stint on the CFCHub Twitch stream last night, which produced a lot of interesting quotes about Chelsea’s transfer plans in the rest of this window.
There have been a lot of successful moves so far, with a number of players coming in, and there are a few sales already lined up and close to going through. Jacobs reports back on a few of them.
Chelsea winger situation summed up
One of the most interesting topics was the winger situation. Right now there are a lot of options, with the surprise return of Mykhailo Mydryk adding another body we have to decide what to do with.
Jacobs says the Blues aren’t signing a new winger, and that won’t change unless Mudryk leaves on a loan and Pedro Neto (linked in the past few days to Man City) goes too.
That extends to first team options – however they’re still looking at young prospects and “talents” as part of their ongoing BlueCo quest to own all the best young players. To us, that smells like a roll of the dice on a youngster who could go to Strasbourg.
