TNA’s Lockdown is back! The event where every match takes place in a steel cage. The event takes place in Chicago on Aug. 23. This is the first Lockdown event since 2016. It was attempted to be revived in 2020, but due to the COVID pandemic it was canceled. That event was set to have Team Jordynne Grace vs. Team Madison Rayne.
The first Knockouts match added to this year’s event is DemonXBunny (Allie and Rosemary) defending the Knockouts World Tag Team Titles against the Elegance Brand (Heather and M By Elegance).
At Slammiversary in June, DemonXBunny won the tag titles off of the Elegance Brand. In the weeks to come in the tournament to crown a first TNA Knockouts TV Champion, Heather and M defeated Rosemary and Allie to advance in singles action. This earned the Elegance Brand a title rematch. The rematch took place on the July 30 episode of Thursday Night iMPACT! but it wasn’t so clean cut.
The match would end up in a DQ as Allie was going at it alone in a 2-on-1 handicap match as Rosemary was not in attendance. Allie would use the title belt as a weapon against the Brand which caused a DQ and had her and Rosemary retain.
If the Elegance brand win back the gold then it will be their third time as champions.
