Raquel Rodriguez has finally won singles gold on the main roster after four years. Rodriguez defeated Sol Ruca on the July 27 episode of Raw, ending Ruca’s reign at 57 days.
The final moments of the match of course involved other members of the Judgment Day – Roxanne Perez and the Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan. Both women doing the most to help out Rodriguez until IYO SKY rushed down to the ring. Much like two week’s ago, SKY attempted to neutralize the Judgment Day’s interference. She was able to stop Morgan, but this allowed Perez to knock Ruca off the top rope and onto the ring post. Rodriguez capitalized with a Tejana Bomb to secure the win and the title.
It appears that Rodriguez may have broken her nose during the match as well.
Rodriguez is now the sixth woman to hold the IC Title since its inception in January 2025. Speaking of the gold’s start, Lyra Valkyria, the inaugural champion, was backstage watching this match.
Speaking on Morgan and SKY, they each had vignette’s hyping up their championship match this Saturday at SummerSlam.
