The former unified welterweight champion rallied in the championship rounds, taking the 11th on some scorecards with cleaner body work and left hands, but Tszyu responded in the final round. He pressed forward from the opening bell, drove hard right hands into Spence’s body and head, and controlled the closing three minutes as Spence struggled to mount any meaningful offense.
Ahmad Reda (9-0, 6 KOs) scored the biggest win of his career with a unanimous decision over veteran Paul Fleming (28-2-2, 18 KOs), though scores of 97-93 and 96-94 were far closer than the fight appeared. Reda controlled the pace from the opening bell, snapping Fleming back with right hands, firing crisp combinations, and piling on constant pressure. He repeatedly backed Fleming onto the ropes, split his guard with uppercuts, and steadily worsened the damage around Fleming’s left eye and nose. Fleming spent much of the fight moving, covering up, and looking for counters before finishing with a late surge that opened a cut on Reda’s cheek in the final round. It was too little, too late as Reda dominated the action and banked the biggest victory of his career.
Callum Peters stayed unbeaten with a seventh-round TKO of Ivan Ricardo Actis in their 10-round middleweight bout. After both men traded hard shots early, Peters took control with the cleaner punching and steadily broke Actis down. Actis showed plenty of toughness but absorbed too much punishment, forcing the referee to stop the contest in the seventh round.
