Jermall Charlo denied travel visa, removed from Australia card

Instead of the fresh start Jermall Charlo was sorely in need of, his past has again slammed the brakes on that effort.

Australia’s No Limit Boxing confirmed to BoxingScene Friday that the unbeaten former two-division champion has been denied a travel visa by the Australian government, and he will not meet Koen Mazoudier, as scheduled next weekend in Sydney.

Former three-belt welterweight champion Errol Spence Jnr headlines the Premier Boxing Champions card on Prime Video and DAZN against former 154lbs champion Tim Tszyu of Australia.

Houston’s Charlo, 34-0 (23 KOs), hasn’t fought since defeating Thomas LaManna by sixth-round TKO in May 2025. The twin brother of former undisputed junior-middleweight champion Jermell Charlo hasn’t fought an opponent of high regard since Sergiy Derevyanchenko in 2020, dealing with mental-health issues that included a 2024 driving while intoxicated arrest.

That case reportedly triggered the visa review that halted his foreign travel ability.

No Limit Boxing announced it is seeking a replacement opponent for Mazoudier 15-4-1 (6KOs) as the July 26 card (July 25 in the U.S.) also includes two-division champion Stephen Fulton versus Liam Wilson.
