Former WWE star Karl Anderson regrets calling other talent marks for wanting to take pictures with The Rock.
Former WWE Superstars Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson recently appeared on TMZ’s Inside the Ring podcast. During the conversation, the hosts asked them if they had any interactions with The Rock. Anderson and Gallows noted that they have shaken hands with the legend on a few occasions.
Anderson recalled calling other WWE talent marks after seeing them asking to take pictures with The Rock on their Talk N Shop podcast last year. He reflected on his comments and expressed regret, saying he understands why they wanted to interact with the People’s Champion.
Karl Anderson regrets calling other WWE talent ‘marks’
“He came one time, and I said something one time. He came backstage, and we were there; we worked for the WWE. All the boys were running up to him in Gorilla and asking for pictures. I was thinking, ‘Ah, these f*****g bunch of marks.’ I even said it on a podcast one time, just trying to, again, acting, trying to get people worked up, and they did,” Anderson began.
“But I was just blown away that people were doing that to him, and I get it. It’s The Rock. He’s the biggest superstar in the whole entire world. Just in my opinion, I think John Cena would come to the arena early on purpose because that’s where, that was his safe spot, man. He would be there chilling. He’s able to be there, be himself, and not be bothered. And it would just kind of throw me off with that. But The Rock’s always been really cool with us. I mean, biggest superstar in the world,” the former WWE star said.
