Place your bets tonight on AEW Dynamite Beach Break, as the women compete in a Women’s Casino Gauntlet match to determine the #1 Contender for the AEW Women’s World Championship at AEW Redemption.
First, we hear from Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor, The Brawling Birds, as they both look ready to get back in action.
We also hear from the new TBS Champion, Hikaru Shida, as she reminds everyone that she told us so and calls herself the “Ace of TBS.”
In the #1 spot is the Ring of Honor Women’s World Champion, Athena, and at #2 is her former student, Maya World. Both won their qualifying matches to get an early lead in the match, but the teacher-and-student dynamic is out the window as these two compete as rivals for a chance at the title. Taking a closer look at this match is the champion herself, Thekla, and the winner of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, Mercedes Moné.
Entrant Order:
- Athena
- Maya World
- Skye Blue
- Mina Shirakawa
- Rina
- Julia Hart
- Thunder Rosa
- Willow Nightingale
Willow Nightingale makes her triumphant return after relinquishing the TBS title due to injury a couple of weeks back. She clears the ring and hits Babe With The Powerbomb on Hart to secure her world title shot at Redemption.
Post-match, Thekla attacks Nightingale from behind. Despite the sneak attack, the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions, Divine Dominion, attack the rest of the Sisters of Sin. Moné makes her way to the ring and takes out both Thekla and Nightingale, as she stands with The Divine Dominion.
What did you think of tonight’s Beach Break? Has Moné made a business deal with the tag champs? Can Nightingale claim the title as hers? Let us know in the comments below!
