William Hill News tipster @Footy_Tipster previews Thursday’s 2026 World Cup Quarter-Final game between France and Morocco.

Our Prediction: France To Score Over 1.5 Goals (8/11), France 2-0 Morocco (6/1)

Tournament favourites France take on Morocco at the Boston Stadium on Thursday in the 2026 World Cup quarter‑final, with both sides aiming to secure a place in the semi‑finals.

Now, let’s take a closer look at some World Cup odds and betting angles for Thursday’s fixture:

    France v Morocco – Thursday, 9pm

View all available markets at William Hill

    • It had been plain sailing for France, who won their first four games of this World Cup without ever appearing to move out of first gear. But their place in the quarter‑finals had to be earned the hard way, edging past Paraguay 1-0 after finally breaking down a stubborn and well‑organised opponent.
    • The signs remain hugely promising for Les Bleus, who are aiming to become just the third nation in history to reach three consecutive World Cup semi‑finals. They also hold a strong recent record against Morocco, going five games unbeaten in this fixture (W3, D2), including their 2-0 victory in the 2022 World Cup semi‑final.
    • Didier Deschamps’ men have scored two or more goals in sixteen of their last eighteen games in all competitions, underlining the firepower they bring into every contest. Punters can back France at 4/7 with William Hill to win inside ninety minutes.

    • Morocco produced just four shots on target in their round‑of‑16 win over Canada, yet still ran out 3-0 victors — a reminder of just how clinical the Atlas Lions can be when chances do fall their way. They’ll need to show that same level of ruthlessness here.
    • Mohamed Ouahbi’s side are now ten matches unbeaten (W7, D3) since their controversial AFCON final, and a victory would see an African nation reach the World Cup semi‑finals for only the second time — both occasions being Morocco.
    • They’ll also be desperate for a shot at revenge after their 2022 semi‑final defeat to Les Bleus. Morocco’s World Cup losses tend to be tight, with seven of their last nine defeats coming by a single‑goal margin. The Atlas Lions are 5/1 with William Hill to win inside ninety minutes.

    Bet Builder Hub:

    • Result – France – France should have enough quality to book their spot in the semi-final.
    • Player To Score Two Or More – Kylian Mbappe – Kylian Mbappe has scored two or more goals in three of his last five games.

      12. 15 selections or above – 100% Acca Boost
    8. The increasing percentage of rewards in the Acca Boost reflects the relative risk of placing Qualifying Accas with a higher number of selections.
    9. The following maximum Acca Boost amounts will be applied per Qualifying Acca:
      1. For retail customers: £2,000
      2. For online customers: £10,000.
