The Katie Taylor-Flora Pili undercard has been announced by Matchroom with Paddy Donovan and Dave Allen set to play key supporting roles at Croke Park, Dublin.
Leading welterweight contender Donovan, 15-2 (11 KOs), will be expected to beat Belfast’s Tyrone McKenna, 25-6-1 (8 KOs). McKenna had hinted at retirement after losing to Harlem Eubank in March 2025 but returned six months later to stop Dylan Moran. Even so, against top IBF 147lbs contender Donovan, he will have his work cut out.
Perhaps the bout that will generate the most attention will be at heavyweight when popular veteran Dave Allen, 26-9-2 (20 KOs), finds himself on another big bill when he tackles Dublin’s Thomas Carty, 11-1 (9 KOs). Carty was stopped in two rounds by Dajuan Calloway 15 months ago but rebounded to outpoint the unheralded German Skobenko in March. Allen, meanwhile, got back to winning ways this month, outpointing Ross McGuigan over four, after being thrashed by Filip Hrgovic in May.
The promising super middleweight Taylor Bevan, 9-0 (8 KOs), gets the chance to shine against unbeaten Dubliner, Emmett Brennan, 6-0 (1 KO).
Liverpool’s Peter McGrail, 12-2 (6 KOs), will hope to bounce back from his December loss to Shabaz Masoud as he battles Northern Ireland’s Matthew Boreland, 7-0 (2 KOs).
Another popular fighter from Liverpool, the 4-0 (1 KO) Molly McCann, will also be expected to win. McCann, 36, will face Polish-born Briton, Sylwia Doligala, 8-2-2.
Irish middleweight champion, the 10-2 (4 KOs) Paul Ryan, gets a test in the form of 37-year-old Paddy Gallagher, 17-6-1 (10 KOs).
