TNA iMPACT Results

The fallout from Genesis begins with a recap of the PPV, featuring The Hardys defending their TNA World Tag Team Championship against The Righteous and Mike Santana squaring off against Frankie Kazarian for the world title in a Texas Death Match.

TNA President Carlos Silva is ringside.

The commentary team welcomes Carlos Silva, who fondly recalls TNA iMPACT’s debut on the AMC Network and expresses his excitement for tonight’s episode. The show then officially kicks off with the first match of the night.

Moose vs. Cedric Alexander

  • The match ended with Cedric Alexander catching Moose off guard with a surprise pinfall to secure the win.

Winner: Cedric Alexander

Grade: A-

A great match to kick things off on TNA iMPACT. Moose sold the steel steps bump he took at TNA Genesis throughout this match, showing his attention to detail and understanding of the craft. As for Alexander, TNA feels like the right place for him to showcase his skills and possibly win a singles title somewhere down the line.

We hear from TNA World Champion Mike Santana

TNA World Champion Mike Santana is in the ring. A recording from Santana’s father, played before his passing, is heard, prompting the crowd to chant, “You deserve it.” Santana says he arrived in TNA two years ago after rebuilding himself from the ashes of injuries and mental health struggles. He recalls the message he delivered following his return to the promotion at Rebellion, stating that fans are going to get him at his absolute best because they deserve it.

Santana says he always gets back up, whether it was after losing a world title match in front of his family or dropping the championship just 30 days after winning it. He explains that he fought back and ultimately reclaimed the TNA World Championship. Santana gives a shoutout to AJ Styles and references their meeting during TNA iMPACT’s debut on AMC. The champion also acknowledges Frankie Kazarian following their Texas Death Match at TNA Genesis.

Santana knows that being the TNA World Champion puts a massive target on his back, whether it’s Nic Nemeth with the Call Your Shot Gauntlet or anyone else in the locker room. He says he has been doubted his entire life, but now stands proudly in front of the fans as their TNA World Champion.

Order 4 backstage segment

Gia Miller is backstage with Mustafa Ali and the rest of Order 4. Ali is asked to share his thoughts ahead of his TNA iMPACT main event against Jeff Hardy, but he tells Gia Miller to shut up before turning his attention to the match. Ali says The Hardys believe they are the GOATs, but claims they are merely sheep and that he is the shepherd. He ends the interview by delivering his catchphrase.

The internet’s favorite wrestling host, Chris Van Vliet, is in attendance for the show. A recap then airs of the three-way tag team match this past Tuesday on WWE NXT that determined the new contenders for the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championship.

Indi Hartwell vs. M By Elegance

  • The match ended with Indi Hartwell reversing M By Elegance’s pinfall attempt into a pinfall of her own to secure the victory.

Winner: Indi Hartwell

After the match, Heather By Elegance attacks Indi Hartwell from behind, but Ash By Elegance steps in to stop the assault. The Angel Warriors then appear, only for Ash to cheap-shot TNA Knockouts World Champion Lei Ying Lee, while M By Elegance takes Indi out with a big boot. The segment ends with commentary teasing a potential in-ring return for Ash By Elegance.

Grade: B-

The biggest highlight of the match is not the in-ring action, but what happened after the pinfall. This marks the first time Ash By Elegance has been physically involved in months. TNA continues to keep the details surrounding her teased “retirement” close to the vest. It will be interesting to see what lies ahead for the former TNA Knockouts World Champion.

The Elegance Brand backstage segment

The Elegance Brand is backstage following their controversial actions. Ash By Elegance declares that she’s back, while The Personal Concierge hypes her as part of an elite club of stars, including the late Muhammad Ali, who also made a comeback. The group teases a celebration as the segment comes to an end.

TNA announces re-signing of former champion

Former TNA X Division Champion Trey Miguel returns as the final participant in the Feast or Fired match. The commentary team confirms that TNA has officially re-signed Miguel. Earlier, former TNA World Champion Steve Maclin also made his return after being absent from the company for several weeks.

For those unfamiliar with the Trey Miguel situation, he was reportedly released from All Elite Wrestling after signing with the promotion alongside the rest of The Rascalz. Miguel also issued a response regarding his exit, which fans can view here.

Feast or Fired

  • Eric Young captured the first briefcase after unmasking The Hometown Man.
  • Steve Maclin secured the second briefcase.
  • Trey Miguel unhooked the fourth briefcase after delivering a suplex to Ryan Nemeth.
  • Eddie Edwards claimed the third briefcase and exited the ring following a top-rope dropkick on AJ Francis.

Three of these briefcase holders will earn a shot at all three singles titles in TNA, while one unlucky participant will be fired.

Grade: A-

I enjoyed the match. Trey Miguel’s return was a surprise, and he’s likely headed for a shot at the International Championship held by NXT’s Stacks. As for who will be fired, it’s probably either Eric Young or Steve Maclin. We’ll find out who gets what next week on TNA iMPACT.

Nic Nemeth confronts Mike Santana

Nic Nemeth approaches Mike Santana, who is watching the outcome of the Feast or Fired match on screen. Nemeth declares that title shots are coming and that someone will challenge Santana for the TNA World Championship. He then teases cashing in his Call Your Shot Gauntlet Trophy on Santana and mocks his daughter, sparking a brawl between the two.

After his brawl with Santana, Nic Nemeth enters a room where BDE and his friends are playing a video game. Nemeth disconnects the console, prompting BDE to confront him. Nic claims that BDE hasn’t paid his dues, leading the content creator-turned-TNA-contracted wrestler to challenge him to a match next week.

Elayna Black appears on the ramp, noting that her TNA appearance last week generated huge social media numbers for the promotion. She then announces that she will be in action next week and teases a potential match for the TNA Knockouts World Championship.

TNA Director of Operations Daria Rae is backstage watching Elayna Black’s segment with Director of Authority Santino Marella. Rae expresses her confidence in Elayna as the future of the Knockouts Division. Marella says time will tell. Daria interrupts him. Arianna Grace shows up and asks for a moment with her father. Grace apologizes to Santino for causing him so much trouble over the last couple of weeks. The segment ends with Marella accepting his daughter’s apology.

Jeff Hardy vs. Mustafa Ali

  • The match ended with Jeff Hardy capitalizing on a distraction from Elijah, hitting Mustafa Ali with his Twist of Fate and Swanton Bomb combo to secure the victory.

Winner: Jeff Hardy

As The Hardys celebrate in the ring, the camera cuts backstage to The Righteous. Vincent reflects on Matt and Jeff’s victory over them at TNA Genesis. The Righteous then deliver another cryptic promo, teasing that their feud with the TNA World Tag Team Champions is far from over.

Grade: A+

This match was the highlight of the night for this writer. The Twist of Fate onto the ringside steel steps looked brutal, while Mustafa Ali handled most of the heavy lifting. It’s easy to see Ali potentially dethroning Santana for the TNA World Championship down the line.

Next week on TNA iMPACT

  • Nic Nemeth vs. BDE
  • Elijah vs. Jason Hotch
  • Elayna Black in action
  • First or Fired cases will be revealed
  • Rich Swann vs. AJ Francis – No Holds Barred

The System’s newest member is…

The System is in the ring. JDC thanks the fans and his System cohorts for a memorable sendoff at TNA Genesis. Dango then gets straight to the point, revealing his replacement in The System: Bear Bronson. Brian Myers looks surprised by the announcement, as Bronson is his protégé. Bronson enters the ring and hugs Myers.

The rest of The System welcomes Bronson into the fold. As JDC hugs Eddie Edwards, he is suddenly low-blowed by his best friend of over 25 years. Moose reacts in shock but is immediately taken out by Bear Bronson. Cedric Alexander’s music hits, and he enters the ring with a steel chair. In a twist, Cedric strikes Moose with the chair to the back, revealing the setup.

Eddie Edwards grabs a mic and tells Moose that The System has replaced not one, but two members. Alisha Edwards continues shouting at her husband over the vicious attack. The segment ends with Eddie Edwards, Brian Myers, Bear Bronson, and Cedric Alexander standing tall, while commentary declares that The System has undergone a violent reset in TNA.

Overall Grade: A-

Wow! I did not see that ending coming. The System is once again back to being heels in TNA Wrestling. The writer hasn’t seen much of Bear Bronson yet, but marks suggest he has real potential, so we’ll see how he develops. As for Moose, reports indicate he’s signed with TNA through 2028, so this angle could be a way for him to operate as a solo babyface. Overall, it was a solid show from start to finish, featuring some impressive in-ring action.
