AEW Collision Results

Death Riders & The Dogs vs. The Rascalz & Top Flight

  • The show opens with a big one, as this is a brawl throughout the entirety of the match. The bout comes to an end with The Dogs and Death Riders coming out on top. Toward the end of the match, PAC and Jon Moxley began brawling with The Rascalz, which led to Top Flight going after Mox. PAC then hit Darius with a big lariat after kicking out of a roll up, and then locked in The Brutalizer for the win.

Winners – The Dogs & Death Riders

Grade: B

Great match to open the show. These are some of the best teams in the business, so it should come as no surprise they put on an awesome match.

AEW National Championship: Jungle Jack Perry (c) vs. Máscara Dorada

  • Perry isn’t ready to get rid of his title just yet, and he proved it by coming out on top tonight. In a big match for the title, Perry came out on top after just kicking out a big faceplant smash by Dorada. As Dorado went to set up for a 450 Splash, Perry got his knees up, and then flipped the momentum, hitting a hurricanrana at the end for the win.

Winner – Jungle Jack Perry

Grade: B+

This was a great match, but should come as no surprise with Perry involved, as he often puts on a good show. It’ll be interesting to see where his title reign goes.

The Conglomeration vs. MxM Collection vs. Johnny TV

  • The Conglomeration are in action tonight, and unsurprisingly, they come out on top. The match ends with Cassidy leading the comeback after MxM looked ready to steal a win. In the end, Cassidy won with a flying elbow drop, and after the match, Tommaso CIampa told the champs they are on the clock.

Winners – The Conglomeration

Grade: B

It looks like The Conglomeration are here to go after some titles, and announced so with a big win. They’re a super fun group, too, so expect to see them much more going forward.

We take a quick break here as commentary extends their love and support for Tanea Brooks, also known as Rebel, who announced this week that they had been diagnosed with ALS.

TBS Championship: Willow Nightingale (c) vs. Anna Jay

  • Nightingale makes relatively short work of her opponent, coming out on top here in a huge title defense. Jay kept things interesting for a bit, including escaping a powerbomb and hitting a big facebuster on Nightingale. In the end, though, Willow got the momentum back, then hit a proper powerbomb for the win.

Winner – Willow Nightingale

Grade: C+

Our first relatively quick squash match of the night. Although the match itself was fun, it was pretty clear who was going to win, and thus became just waiting until the time Nightingale won to come around.

Bang Bang Gang (Juice Robinson & Ace Austin) vs. Death Riders (Wheeler Yuta & Daniel Garcia)

  • The Bang Bang Gang isn’t here to mess around, and even with Jon Moxley on commentary, they wouldn’t be deterred. The group won after Juice Robinson hit a big punch on Wheeler Yuta and then a DDT for the win. After the match, Yuta and Garcia weren’t happy, and went after the Bang Bang Gang. The Gunn Club is here, though! The group comes out and makes the save, although they couldn’t hit the 3:10 to Yuma on Moxley, as Marina Shafir saves him. Yuta is not so lucky, though, and gets it instead.

Winners – Bang Bang Gang

Grade: C+

Another so-so match, more so saved by the end, which featured a ton of chaotic and awesome opportunities.

Skye Blue vs. Niki XS

  • This is an absolute squash, and Blue dominates here. She wins after hitting a bunch of big moves, then locking in some sort of full body submission to force Niki to tap out.

Winner – Skye Blue

Grade: C-

It’s fun to see Blue dominate, but not so fun to watch an obvious match happen.

TNT Championship: Kevin Knight (c) vs. Hook

  • Knight walked in champion, and he was determined to walk out as it. He did that, battling it out with Hook in an awesome match to retain his title. The match had a ton of big spots, including Hook distracting the ref and letting Shibata join in and kick Knight. Despite the disadvantage, Knight eventually got the momentum back, and won after hitting a jumping DDT and winning with a UFO splash.

Winner – Kevin Knight

Grade: B+

A great match to finish the show, and actually featured a bunch of moments where it looked like Hook was going to come out on top. Knight is too fun to watch, though, and wins yet again.

AEW Collision Review

Grade: B

All in all, this was a solid show of Collision. A step up from last week’s show, and had a ton of fun matches throughout. We’ll see what we got going forward though, especially due to some big moments planned in the coming weeks.
