WWE NXT star Kelani Jordan called out fans for cheering stars like Cody Rhodes and Dominik Mysterio while booing her for doing the same things.
Last week, Jordan defended her TNA Knockouts Championship against Jordynne Grace, but the match turned chaotic when Trick Williams and Ricky Saints started fighting at ringside. As the referee tried to stop them.
Jordan took advantage of the distraction, grabbed her title belt, and hit Grace in the face before pinning her to retain the championship. This week, Jordan came to the ring with a new attitude and addressed both the fans and her critics.
On WWE NXT, TNA star Lei Ying Lee accused Kelani Jordan on social media. Meanwhile, Jordan confronted Wren Sinclair, Kendal Grey, Karmen Petrovic and Tyra Mae Steele that they needed to hear what she had to say.
When Jordan entered the ring, the crowd immediately booed her. Grabbing a microphone, she defended her actions and said she only did what she had to do to stay champion. She then called out the crowd’s hypocrisy, pointing out that they cheer for Dominik Mysterio even when he cheats and sing Cody Rhodes’ theme song despite him using underhanded tactics in his match against Drew McIntyre at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
As the boos got louder, Jordan fired back, saying people can call her whatever they want a traitor or disloyal but they’ll still have to call her champion. Jordan also dismissed Lei Ying Lee’s challenge, saying she isn’t even on her radar and that she’s already beaten her before.
Kelani Jordan set to defend TNA Knockouts title at WWE NXT Gold Rush
Kelani Jordan made it clear she didn’t plan to defend her TNA Knockouts Championship at NXT Gold Rush but management had other plans. Following cutting her heel promo, Jordan appeared backstage and interrupted a conversation between Kendal Grey and Wren Sinclair, asking if they had watched her recent match.
But WWE NXT general manager Ava showed up and told Jordan she needed to speak with her privately. Kelani informs she wouldn’t defend the Knockouts title at Gold Rush. However, Ava firmly told her it wasn’t her decision to make.
However, Tyra Mae Steele confronted Kelani Jordan, questioning what had gotten into her. The confrontation led Ava to book a match between them. Jordan, with her new attitude, defeats Tyra Mae Steele.
Following the match, TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella appeared on the screen with a major announcement. He says Jordan will defend her TNA Knockouts Championship at NXT Gold Rush in a Triple Threat Match against TNA’s Lei Ying Lee and NXT’s Jordynne Grace, leaving Jordan visibly frustrated.
