NXT Women’s Championship Match: Stephanie Vaquer (c) vs. Jaida Parker

Parker and Vaquer trade armbars. Parker bodyslams Vaquer twice. Vaquer takes Parker down and works a leg submission. The entire women’s locker room is watching the match from the backstage area. Parker gets to the ropes to break the hold. Parker and Vaquer trade submission hold. Vaquer surprises Parker with a rana and a few strikes. Parker counters a corner spear with a seated hip attack.

After the break, Parker lands a backstabber for a near fall. Vaquer traps Parker in a rope-hanging triangle. 619 by Vaquer. Vaquer blasts Parker with the greatest move in NXT history. Vaquer sets up her finish. Parker reverses it into a falcon arrow. After a series of counters, Parker lands a spinebuster. Teardrop hip attack by Parker. Jordynne Grace appears and hops up on the apron. After getting distracted by Grace, Parker tries her finish, but Vaquer turns it into a pinning combination for the win.

Winner and STILL NXT Women’s Champion, Stephanie Vaquer!

After the match, Parker goes after Grace, but they are separated by security. While Vaquer is celebrating in the ring, Fatal Influence attacks her from behind.

Grade: B-

Solid match. Vaquer is fantastic in the ring, and Parker is way ahead of where she should be at this point in her career. With that, this match deserved way more of a build. The lack of effort put into getting us here took away from the contest. Also, Grace’s distraction didn’t add to the proceedings. Having a good guy hop up on the apron to cause a distraction during a match just seems weird.

Hank and Tank vs. Tyriek Igwe and Tyson Dupont w/Wes Lee

This match started during the break. Hank and Tank are in control, working over Dupont and Igwe. Igwe injures himself by stomping Tank. Hank lands a dive. After a distraction from Lee, Dupont and Igwe take over. Lee causes another distraction, leading to Dupont and Igwe hitting their finish for the win.

Winners- Tyriek Igwe and Tyson Dupont

Grade: C+

This match was a bit of a mess. Hank and Tank have the NXT Universe on their side, but this writer still isn’t convinced. At one point, it seemed Igwe and Dupont were trying to set up an injury distraction spot that Hank and Tank totally ignored. If Igwe was really hurt, setting up and hitting that dive was extremely reckless. With that, it’s nice to see Dupont and Igwe get a win on NXT TV.

NXT Heritage Cup Championship Match: Lexis King (c) vs. Je’Von Evans

Evans locks in a side headlock. Suplex by King. King stomps Evans. Evans fires back with a rana that sends King out of the ring. Suicide dive by Evans. After the break, King is working over Evans. Evans fires up and lands a frog splash for a near fall. Evans flips out of a back body drop and lands on his feet. Superkick by King. King sets up his finish. Evans counters with a slingshot kick. King rolls out to the floor. Dive by Evans. Evans tosses King back into the ring. NXT Champion Oba Femi appears and powerbombs Evans on the apron while the referee is distracted. Evans is counted out.

Winner- Lexis King

After the match, Femi and Evans square up. The lights go out, and DarkState appears in the crowd. Femi and Evans brawl. Trick Williams hits the ring and tries to catch Femi with the Trick Shot. Femi avoids it, and Williams nails Evans. Security separates Femi and Williams.

Grade: B-

If you take the gimmick out of the gimmick title, what is the point of the gimmick title? All signs point to Trick Williams being with Darkstate, by the way. Remember, this writer said that when it happens.

Tatum Paxley and Gigi Dolan vs. Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson

Sol Ruca and Zaria walk down to the ring to watch the match. The Meta Girls are in control early. Paxley gets singled out and worked over Jackson and Legend. Paxley manages to tag in Dolan. Dolan lands a flurry of offense. Dolan and Paxley hit Cemetery Drive on Jackson for the win.

Winners- Tatum Paxley and Gigi Dolan

Grade: C+

What was the purpose of having Zaria and Sol Ruca come out to ringside if they weren’t going to play a role in the match at all? It’s weird stuff, but these four made the best of the time they were given. This was clearly just a tune-up match for Dolin and Paxley to look credible before their TNA Women’s Tag Title match later this week. Jackson and Legend deserve a bit better than being canon fodder for Dolan and Paxley at this point.

“All Ego” Ethan Page vs. Andre Chase w/Dixon and Connors

Chase counters Page’s hip toss and hits one of his own. After a series of reversals, Chase sends Page flying with a monkey flip. Page avoids a dive but eats a PK on the apron. Chase catches Page with a senton off the apron. After the break, Page is working over Chase. Chase fires up. While Page is down, Chase has a crisis over whether he should hit the Chase U stomps.

Dixon and Connors cheer Chase on. Chase does the Chase U stomps. Page blocks a stomp. Chase and Page and Chase trade strikes. Chase lands a neckbreaker on the apron. Diving Tornado DDT by Chase. Page kicks out. Chase goes up top. Page crotches Chase on the top rope and hits an avalanche powerslam. Chase kicks out. Twisted Grin by Page. Page pins Chase.

Winner- Ethan Page

Grade: B

It was a solid match in the ring that also served to further the redemption arc for the man who lost everything, Andre Chase.

NXT Women’s North American Championship Match: Stephanie Vaquer (c) vs. Fallon Henley w/Final Influence

Jayn distracts Vaquer as soon as the bell rings so Henley can take control early. Vaquer lands a dropkick for a near fall. Henley works over Vaquer. After the break, Vaquer lands a superplex. After a series of boots, Vaquer lands a Meteroa in the corner. After an attack from Dame, Henley gets a near fall. Dame hops up on the apron. Vaquer sends Henley into Dame. Vaquer lands the SVB for the win.

Winner and STILL NXT North American Champion, Stephanie Vaquer!
