Ridge Holland is getting some help from his pro wrestling peers.
WWE reportedly terminated Ridge Holland’s contract, which was originally supposed to run through mid-November. The move came after Holland made some social media posts, claiming the company hung him out to dry by releasing him while he was battling an injury.
WWE Superstar Chelsea Green took to X/Twitter to share a link to a GoFundMe launched to support Ridge Holland (Luke Menzies) and his family, as the former WWE star would be unable to work until he’s fully recovered from his injuries. Green has also set up a recurring $1000 monthly donation to support Ridge Holland. The GoFundMe aims to raise $60,000.
A part of the fundraiser’s description reads:
“Help a Father of 3 Heal Without Losing Everything
“We’re reaching out with heavy hearts on behalf of a dear family in crisis. A loving father of three suffered injuries whilst on the job — injuries that have not only left him unable to work but also abandoned by the very company he served.
“Despite being injured at work, he was hired as a 1099 contractor — meaning he’s not eligible for workers’ compensation, sick leave, or any support from the employer. Since the injury, the company has offered to pay for medical expenses BUT No pay. No new contract.
“This fundraiser has been created to help this beautiful family through the months ahead — to keep a roof over their heads, food on the table, pay the bills, cover travel to hospital appointments, and give him a chance to focus on healing without the constant fear of financial collapse.”
Green’s Twitter/X post has since been deleted. However, donations continue to roll in, as AEW’s Kyle Fletcher and Nick Jackson of the Young Bucks also contributed to the campaign.
Chelsea Green And Ethan Page Recently Captured The AAA Mixed Tag Team Championship
Chelsea Green has been teaming up with Ethan Page on NXT since earlier this year, and the Canadian duo went on to capture the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship.
Green and Page defeated La Hiedra and Mr. Iguana at the AAA Alianzas event on November 2 to capture the title. Page became a double champion at the event, as he already holds the NXT North American Championship.
Joe Hendry and Thea Hail have stepped up to Chelsea Green and Ethan Page as their first challengers, and they will clash for the title at the Gold Rush event on November 18.
