Moose ushered in the new era of TNA Wrestling in a big way when he dethroned Alex Shelley to become the new TNA World Champion at Hard To Kill. Alongside his allies Eddie Edwards, Brian Myers and Alisha Edwards, The System looks to dominate the TNA galaxy – but doing so will be no easy task. Recently on iMPACT!, Moose was confronted by the former TNA World Champion, Alex Shelley, who revealed that his contractually-obligated rematch would take place at No Surrender. Later in the night, Moose sent a message to Shelley by delivering a blindside assault to his longtime friend and ally, KUSHIDA. Tensions escalated even further when Shelley defeated Edwards in singles competition, leading to a chaotic brawl that saw KUSHIDA and Kevin Knight come to Shelley’s aid. In a digital exclusive video, we learned that the Moose vs. Alex Shelley rematch will now be contested under No Surrender rules. This unique first-time-ever stipulation will have Eddie and Myers in the corner of Moose, while KUSHIDA and Knight will be in Shelley’s corner. The match can only end when one of the competitors’ designated cornermen throws in the towel!
Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace is on top of the world. After defeating Trinity twice to become and remain the TNA Knockouts World Champion, Grace made history once again when she competed in the WWE Royal Rumble match. Meanwhile, Hard To Kill also played host to the return of Knockouts Ultimate X, where six competitors risked it all to become the #1 Contender. The match was won by Gisele Shaw, who made her intentions clear when she joined forces with Savannah Evans and Jai Vidal to lay out both Grace and Trinity. We now know that Shaw will challenge Grace at No Surrender as “The Quintessential Diva” collides with “The Juggernaut” for the division’s top prize.
Two weeks ago, Mustafa Ali vowed to bring change to TNA Wrestling as he addressed the world in a video message. A star known around the globe, Ali would make his presence felt once again when he interrupted X-Division Champion Chris Sabin just one week later. With his intentions made clear, we can now confirm that not only will Mustafa Ali make his TNA in-ring debut at No Surrender, but he will challenge Chris Sabin for the X-Division Championship. It’s an epic first-time-ever clash but only one can leave New Orleans with the X-Division Championship! Will Sabin continue to reign over the division that he helped make famous? Or will Ali usher in a new era?
ABC has been embroiled in a heated rivalry with the Grizzled Young Vets over the TNA World Tag Team Championships, leading to Director of Authority Santino Marella making a Best of 3 Series to determine the superior duo. Match 1 saw James Drake and Zack Gibson cheat their way to victory, then go on to attack ABC in the backstage area just one week later. Despite the overwhelming odds, ABC would even the score in Match 2. With both teams tied at one win a piece, we have learned that Match 3 will take place at No Surrender. When the closing bell rings, only one team will be able to call themselves TNA World Tag Team Champions. Will it be the reigning title-holders, Ace Austin and Chris Bey? Or will the Grizzled Young Vets add another reign to their list of accolades?
Josh Alexander has set his sights on recapturing the TNA World Championship. But when the “Walking Weapon” was accused of stealing opportunities from people like Alan Angels, Alexander’s road to the title took a detour. After Alexander defeated Angels on iMPACT!, he was jumped by an old enemy in Simon Gotch. One week later, Gotch revealed on the set of Alan Angels’ Sound Check that he was the one who took Alexander to his limit on the night he was signed to a TNA Wrestling contract – but never received the recognition. Alexander would burst onto the set and a physical brawl ensued. It has been made official that Simon Gotch will make his TNA in-ring debut as he battles Josh Alexander at No Surrender. Will Gotch prove that he was overlooked? Or will Alexander stand tall?
Following a string of losses as a tag team, Frankie Kazarian turned his back on Eric Young and brutally assaulted him. In the weeks that followed, a new side of Kazarian would emerge as the TNA Original vowed to stop giving, and start taking. Determined to cement his legacy by any means necessary, Kazarian would continue to play mind games with Young by reintroducing a ghost from Young’s past, Big Damo. After Young disposed of Damo, he challenged Kazarian to a fight at No Surrender. We can now confirm that the match has indeed been made official but the stakes are higher than ever – the winner will get a shot at the TNA World Championship on March 8th at Sacrifice.
Recently on iMPACT!, Kon was on a mission to prove that he is the “Baddest Man in TNA”. After telling Deaner that The Design is dead, Kon made a bold statement when he viciously assaulted the “French-Canadian Frankenstein”, PCO. One week later, Kon demolished not one but two unlucky opponents before PCO attacked in retaliation. We can now confirm that at No Surrender, these two behemoths will face off one-on-one. Brace yourself for this hard-hitting collision between two of the most fearsome individuals on the TNA roster: PCO and Kon.
At Hard To Kill, Decay made their chilling return from the Undead Realm. Not only that, but they shocked the world when they defeated MK Ultra in an impromptu showdown to become the new Knockouts World Tag Team Champions. More menacing than ever, Havok and Rosemary are no strangers to Knockouts tag gold. But now that they’re back on top, Decay has a target on their back. At No Surrender, they must defend their titles against the former champions, MK Ultra, in a highly-anticipated rematch. Will Decay continue to cast a shadow over the Knockouts division? Or will Masha Slamovich and Killer Kelly fight their way back to the throne?
The action begins on Countdown to No Surrender streaming LIVE and FREE at 7:30pm ET on TNA+ and YouTube. Preview the night’s huge event and witness exclusive matchups you won’t see anywhere else!
Before they serve as the all-important cornermen in the TNA World Championship No Surrender Rules match between Moose and Alex Shelley, KUSHIDA will team with Kevin Knight to battle Brian Myers and Eddie Edwards on Countdown to No Surrender. The two sides have been engaged in combat for weeks now, including a series of wild, all-out brawls. Which team will fire the first shot and set the tone for what’s to come later in the night at No Surrender?
After the Rascalz joined forces with Steve Maclin in an attempt to send Nic Nemeth packing from TNA Wrestling, Nemeth found himself a pair of allies in Trent Seven and Mike Bailey. When Maclin assaulted Nemeth at an event in Puerto Rico, it was Seven who stood up to Maclin just days later on iMPACT. The two would go on to have a match but thanks to repeated interference from the Rascalz, the victory was awarded to Maclin. On Countdown to No Surrender, Trent Seven and Mike Bailey will look to settle their differences with the Rascalz in tag team action.
