As we beam towards AEW Grand Slam Australia, gold looks to get put on the line and the Champions have a lot to say in this edition of AEW Dynamite.
After the show-stopping performance of “Timeless” Toni Storm this past week on Collision, the AEW Women’s World Champion, Mariah May, has some words for her.
Renee Paquette is on standby, but May is quick to take the mic in front of this Huntsville crowd. May says despite all the roleplay that Storm does, the only role she’ll take is being the AEW Women’s World Champion.
Backstage, Deonna Purazzo along with Taya Valkyrie says that she would have been in the TBS title match tonight if it wasn’t for Harley Cameron. And that this Saturday on Collision, they look to teach her a lesson.
In our Dynamite Main Event, after a successful four-way victory last week on Collision, Yuka Sakazaki has her chance at the TBS Championship that Mercedes Moné holds in her repertoire.
Sakazaki begins the match by playing a bit of tricky mind games with The CEO. But, Moné shifts the momentum against “The Magical Girl” by hitting a hard Meteora towards the outside of the ring.
Sakazaki attempts to fight back and ends up reversing and dodging out of the way of another Meteora into a Missile Dropkick. Moné kicks out after a few attempts and heads into hitting Three Amigos. The two end up on the top rope and Sakazaki ends up landing the Superplex onto the canvas.
The challenger attempts to follow up with a Merry Go Round, but Moné puts it to a stop. Moné attempts to hit the Moné Maker, but Sakazaki stops the landing and finally lands the Merry Go Round on The CEO.
Moné is set up perfectly for a Magical Girl Splash, but Sakazaki ends up crashing into Moné’s knees allowing for The CEO to hit a powerbomb followed up with a Moné Maker to retain the TBS Championship.
