- HOOK and Eddie Kingston defeated the WorkHorsemen (Anthony Henry and JD Drake).
- The CMLL Trios Tag Team Championship match spills over into the main show due to injury to Mistico and Kazuchika Okada’s late arrival.
AEW Full Gear Main Show Results
El Sky Team (Místico, Máscara Dorada, Neón) (c) vs. The Don Callis Family (Kazuchika Okada, Konosuke Takeshita, and Hechicero) – CMLL World Trios Championship Trios match
Okada makes his entrance as the match spills over into the main show. Hechicero tries to play peacemaker between Okada and Takeshita but the Rainmaker responds with a bird to The Alpha. The match gets officially underway with The Don Callis Family having a three-on-two advantage due to Mistico being taken out during the TailGate Brawl.
Mistico returns to even the odds against The Don Callis Family. During the match, Okada attacks Takeshita and takes him out of the ring allowing Neon to capitalize on the distraction. Misitco enters the ring and evades a Rainmaker from Okada, who takes out Takeshita with his finisher. The grin says it all!
- The finish of the match saw Mistico make Hechicero tap out for the win with his signature La Mística submission.
Winners and still CMLL world Trios Team Champions: El Sky Team
After the match, Okada tries to pin the blame on Hechicero for the loss. Don Callis tries to calm down Takeshita as the champions celebrate in the ring.
Grade: B-
That was a creative way to tie the match into the main show though Exacalibur did announce PAC vs Darby Allin as the first official match of AEW Full Gear main show. Okada playing the cocky prick is going to be his undoing – and this writer can’t wait for the ultimate payoff.
Darby Allin vs. PAC
Darby Allin is heavily bandaged because of the burns he suffered — courtesy of PAC during their clash at AEW Blood and Guts just over a week ago. Darby is on the offense as he takes out the Bastard with a drop kick. Some really good submission exchange between the two. PAC shows his strength by press slamming Allin onto the floor. That has got to hurt!
PAC forcefully removes the bandages covering Darby’s burns before squeezing the wounds. He follows the offense with a whiplash on the second rope. More damage is done as PAC sends Darby crashing into the turnbuckle post all the way to the outside. The camera man gets hit by a falling Darby.
Darby Allin retaliates with a couple of rights and lefts before taking down PAC with a torpedo suicide dive on the outside. He places PAC on a chair and hits him with a turnbuckle missile dropkick. PAC’s head hits the commentary desk. The action gets in the ring. Darby eats a thrust kick and a belly-to-belly in the corner before retaliating with an explosive lariat.
PAC drops Darby with a running lariat. A nearfall… PAC applies the Brutalizer. Allin breaks the hold by placing his foot on the rope. The AEW Full Gear crowd with the “this is awesome” chants. Good match, so far. PAC with a trifecta of boots to Darby’s face. He gets on top for a Black Arrow but Darby evades. Darby pays homage to Sting with a Scorpion Death Lock. Wheeler Yuta shows up and places a baseball bat in the ring.
- The finish of the match saw PAC hit Darby with Sting’s baseball bat followed by a pin for the win.
Winner: PAC
Grade: B-
This was a great match until the ending ruined it for this writer. Wheeler Yuta’s distraction helped PAC secure the win. I was hoping Darby would move past PAC and pick apart the Death Riders on by one. Tonight’s outcome defeats the purpose of his win over Jon Moxley in the “I Quit” match at AEW WrestleDream last month.
Babes of Wrath (Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron) vs. Sisters of Sin (Julia Hart and Skye Blue) vs. Timeless Love Bombs (“Timeless” Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa) vs. Megan Bayne and Marina Shafir
- The finish of the match saw Toni Storm catch Harley Cameron with a small package for the win.
Winners: Timeless Love Bombs (Toni Storm and Mina Shirawaka)
Grade: B+
Great performance from the all ladies involved. Storm and Shirakwa were the fan favorites heading to the match and booking them as winners was the right decision. They will now pick their stipulation for the semi-final against Shafir and Bayne in the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship Tournament.
Brodido (Bandido and Brody King) (c) vs. FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) (with Stokely) – AEW World Tag Team Championship
FTR’s entrance is a Big Stoke production. Man can’t get any hoes but knows how to make an entrance on the big stage. Bandio and Cash Wheeler kick off the action. The ROH World Champion shows off his athleticism. FTR and Brody King with the tag. Harwood eats some brutal chops to the chest on the outside.
FTR gets the offense on Bandido until he finally makes the tag to Brody King. The big man does the heavy hitting on Wheeler and Harwood. Wheeler tries to choke out Brody but he gets driven straight into Harwood in the corner. A canonball run follows… and a near fall.
The action continues…
Bandido attempts a tag team move but is whisked outside FTR with a tag team combo on Brody but he catches Wheeler mid-air. Brodido then work on Harwood with some heavy artillery. Brody attempts a suicide dive on Harwood but Stoke pushes him away and almost gets crushed by the big man.
Bandido reveres a Shatter Machine into a DDT. Wheeler eats a 21 Plex. Bandido attempts another on Wheeler but gets caught with a Shatter Machine. One, two… Brody King makes the save. King attempts a running collision on Harwood but eats the guardrail instead. Another Shatter Machine inside the ring but to no avail. Wheeler reverses a suicide dive into one of his own on Brody. Bandido eats a Doomsday Device but kicks out at two!
Brody eats a spike piledriver on the apron. FTR with another spike piledriver, this time on Bandido, inside the ring. Another false finish. FTR can’t believe it. Bandido taunts FTR with the last bit of energy he’s left.
- The finish of the match saw FTR hit Bandido with the Shatter Machine for the win.
Winners and new AEW World Tag Team Champions: FTR
Grade: A-
Brilliant outing from all men involved. Bandido is one of the best in 2025. The resilience he showed in this match was some incredible display of tenacity. This is the first title change at AEW Full Gear. Let’s see if this leads to a match between Bandido and Brody King for the ROH World Championship somewhere down the line.
AEW National Championship Casino Gauntlet
We’ve got our first look at the AEW National Championship. Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin are the first two participants in the ring. They are accompanied to the ring by MVP. Former AEW World Champion Bryan Danielson is commentary for the match.
Ricochet is the third participant. He has a mic in his hand. Ricochet says he isn’t here to see a wrestling match. This proves to be a distraction as Gates of Agony attack Lashley and Shelton from behind. Ricochet takes out MVP with a mic to the head. That’s five booms to the head.
Claudio Castagnoli enters next. Ricochet is all alone as Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona have left the ring following their assault on Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin. Ricochet attempts a suicide dive only to eat a thunderous uppercut from the muscle of the Death Riders.
The next participant in the AEW Full Gear Casino Gauntlet is Daniel Garcia. Trouble keeps coming for Ricochet. Garcia catches Ricochet with what appears to be a foreign object. This writer is enjoying Death Riders taking turns beating the snot out of Ricochet.
Orange Cassidy is next. Cassidy sloths his way to the ring. We see the former AEW International Champion slap the sweat off of Ricochet’s baldness. Cassidy goes for the pin but is deadlifted with one hand by Claudio. Next up is Orange’s former tag team partner, Wheeler Yuta.
High-flyer Kevin Knight is the next participant. Knight makes quick work of Daniel Garcia on the outside. He attempts a hurricanrana on Claudio but the big man is too strong. Knight sends Castagnoli on the outside. We’ve our next entrant, the Messiah of the Backbreaker, Roderick Strong.
Mark Davis arrives to absolutely zero pop from the crowd. Davis and Strong trade blows inside the ring. Yuta and Garcia try to take down Davis, who reverses the momentum. Davis takes out Strong with a running lariat. He then spikes Ricochet with a piledriver followed by another one on Cassidy. Next in the Full Gear match is “Speedball” Mike Bailey.
“Daddy Magic” Matt Menard enters next. Garcia looks like he’s seen a ghost. Matt immediately goes for Garcia. The fight spills to the crowd. Davis and Castagnoli are left standing inside the ring until Lashley and Benjamin re-enter the fight.
- The finish of the match saw Ricochet hit Kevin Knight with his Spirit Gun finisher for the win.
Winner and inaugural AEW National Champion: Ricochet
Grade: A-
I was thoroughly entertained by the action and everything else that happened. Davis’ spike piledriver is a thing of beauty. Putting the title on Ricochet seems to work in the moment given his ongoing feud with The Hurt Syndicate. It will be sweet when he drops the title to either Bobby Lashley or Shelton Benjamin down the line.
Jon Moxley vs. Kyle O’Reilly – No Holds Barred
After a back-and-forth submission struggle, Moxley lacerates O’Reilly with a fork. Can’t expect any less brutality from a Jon Moxley match. O’Reilly is on the Muta scale of losing blood. Bryan Danielson makes a great point of Moxley retorting to death-jistu when he sees there’s no other way for him to win. Mox knows he can’t beat Kyle in a straight submission match-up.
Mox just jabbed the fork in O’Reilly’s nipple. This is one sadistic SOB. Wonder how Shafir is fellig about this since O’Reilly is best friends with her husband Roderick Strong. She was the one to hand Moxley the fork in the first place. So there’s your answer.
O’Reilly finally gives Mox a taste of his medicine as he spikes Jon’x forehead with repeated fork strikes. Kyle gets a steel chain in the ring. Mox is reluctant to attack. Both men somehow wrap the chain on each other’s necks. A suplex follows and both men are down.
- The finish of the match saw O’Reilly submit Moxley with a toe hold for the win.
Winner: Kyle O’Reilly
After the match, Moxley goes on the outside only to re-enter the attack what may be a broken arm of Kyle O’Reilly. The crowd throws “you tapped out” chants toward Moxley. O’Reilly is walked to the backstage by Orange Cassidy and Roderick Strong.
Grade: C+
Why didn’t The Death Riders just attack Cassidy and Strong while they were walking O’Reilly to the back? That could’ve been a way to extend the feud if that’s what AEW hopes to accomplish with the post-match attack angle by Moxley? The in-ring action was solid but not enough to get this match past a C+.
Kyle Fletcher (c) vs. Mark Briscoe – TNT Championship No DQ
Jay Briscoe gets some love during the Mark Briscoe introduction. Briscoe and Fletcher trade some lefts and rights. Fletcher shifts the momentum with a brain buster on a steel chair. He tries to take out Briscoe on the steel steps but Briscoe reverses. A ladder is introduced into the match. Briscoe attempts a suicide dive but lands back-first on the ladder as Fletcher steps away in the nick of time.
Fletcher dishes punishment on Briscoe inside the ring. The Protostar slams Briscoe on a lader. Mark is busted wide open. Fletcher shoves Briscoe into a ladder. This is some brutal punishment Briscoe is taking at the hands of Fletcher. Kyle uses the wedged ladder for an avalanche brainbuster but eats an upper instead – followed by a dropkick.
Briscoe sets up a table for an elbow drop. Fletcher suckers him right into a half-and-half suplex on the floor. Kyle sets up six chairs front-to-front but eats a chair from Briscoe. Mark places Kyle on the stacked chairs. Don Callis with the distraction that allows Fletcher to push Briscoe right onto the table.
Fletcher hits Briscoe with a running kick. Both men struggle to put each other through the table. Kyle finally gets the upper hand and launches Briscoe through another table. Brisoe eats a liger bomb for a nearfall. Kyle introduces thumbtacks in the ring. He grabs a handful and puts them in Briscoe’s mouth. Superkick… Kyle attempts another power bomb but Briscoe plants him right onto the tacks with a fisherman buster.
Briscoe sets up a table over the tacks with the tallest ladder in the match nearby. Fletcher hits Briscoe with a couple of superkicks. Briscoe counters with a blockbuster onto the stacked chairs outside. Briscoe places Fletcher on the table and gets on the ladder. Fletcher gets up and chases Briscoe up above. Both men struggle until Briscoe drops Fletcher with a frogybow through the table.
Callis hands Fletcher a screwdriver. Fletcher delivers a lowblow on Briscoe and pierces his head with the driver. He then licks the blood off the screw driver. Briscoe retaliates with a lowblow of his own and plants Fletcher with a brainbuster for a false finish.
- The finish of the match saw Briscoe put Fletcher through a barbed wire table followed by a Jay Driller for the win.
Winner and new TNT Champion: Mark Briscoe
Grade: A+
Match of the night so far. This was pure brilliance and brutality from both men. Fletcher has been involved in so many great matches in 2025 alone. He’s a future World Champion. Congratulations to Briscoe on becoming the new AEW TNT Champion. The just adds a whole new dynamic to the Don Callis Family storyline.
Kenny Omega and Jurassic Express (“Jungle” Jack Perry and Luchasaurus) vs. The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson) and Josh Alexander – $1,000,000 Trios match
- The finish of the match saw The Young Bucks plant Jack Perry with the BTE Trigger for the win.
Winners: The Young Bucks and Josh Alexander
After the match, the Young Bucks have their briefcase with $1,000,000 inside. Don Callis grabs the mic and welcomes the Bucks into the family. He then tells them to grab the money and celebrate. Inside the ring, Josh Alexander and the rest of the Family gang up on Kenny Omega. The Bucks are conflicting watching their former friend get attacked. Callis asks them to leave. “You sold out” chants break out in the arena. The Bucks throw away the prize money and rush to the ring. They clear the ring before shaking hands with the Jurassic Express. We then see a reunion of The Elite as the trio hug it out to cap off the segment.
Grade: A-
A great match followed by the highly-anticipated reunion between three of the founding members of All Elite Wrestling. I only have one gripe with the match. It went way too long. That being said, Bucks winning and ditching the prize money was expected. The Don Callis Family now has two more people to worry about after making enemies of almost the entire AEW babyface roster.
Kris Statlander (c) vs. Mercedes Moné – AEW Women’s World Championship
Mercedes with the early advantage after taking out Stat with a Meteora while the champion was nursing her bad shoulder outside the ring. The CEO continues to attack the injures shoulder of the her opponent. This match may be slow but perfectly encapsulates the traditional heel mentality of taking advantage of the injured babyface champion.
Stat reverses the momentum with a Blue Thunder Bomb on the outside. Mone recovers and attempts her offense but the champion catches her with a lariat. A near follows. Statlander gets a belly-to-belly and follows with a submission. Mone counters with a submission of her own.
- The finish of the match saw Kris Statlander plant Mercedes Mone with a piledriver for the win.
Winner and still AEW Women’s World Champion: Kris Statlander
Grade: B+
The pace felt slow after the back-and-forth action we saw earlier. Still, this was a solid world title match. Statlander’s momentum continues to rise with the win at AEW Full Gear. She becomes the second woman after Toni Storm to hand Mone a clean loss in singles competition.
Backstage interview with Don Callis Family
The Don Callis Family is backstage with Lexi Nair for interview. Callis says they have a reason to celebrate after winning the million dollar prize money. Okada blames Takeshita for their loss earlier at Full Gear. Takeshita says Okada didn’t even show up on time. Callis says Okada needs to focus on the Continental Classic Tournament.
Takeshita gets a one-up on Okada by announcing himself as the first entrant in the tournament. Kyle Fletcher shows up. He questions Okada and Takeshita’s allegiance to him before announcing himself as the second entrant in the Continental Classic.
“Hangman” Adam Page (c) vs. Samoa Joe – AEW World Championship Steel Cage match
Joe and Page are busted wide open. Shibata comes to the aid of Joe. He grabs the world title belt and tries to climb the cage. Eddie Kingston shows up and takes Shibata to the back. Powerhouse Hobbs appears and just snaps the chain locking the cage door. Page hits Hobbs with a lowblow and sends him face-first into the cage walls.
HOOK enters the fray. He tells referee Paul Turner to wake up. HOOK grabs the belt and hits Hangman in the face. He tears his hoodie and reveals the Opps shirt underneath. The finish of the match sees Joe plants Page with a muscle buster for the win.
Winner and new AEW World Champion: Samoa Joe
After the match, the Opps are in the ring waiting to celebrate. HOOK hands Joe the belt. The lights go off and we see Prince Nana on the stage. A bloody and battered Joe stands tall with his eyes locked on stage. The music hits and we see Swerve Strickland make his way back to All Elite Wrestling.
Joe tells his Opps to stand aside as Swerve slowly approaches the ring. We see a the AEW World Champion standing near the bloody carcass of Adam Page. Swerve enters the ring and takes out one of the Opps Dojo trainees. Joe leaves the ring as the rest of the Dojo trainees try to restrain the former AEW World Champion. Swerve hits a House Call on another trainee. Hangman Page takes out another with a Buckshot lariat. The show ends with Page and Swerve standing side by side as The Opps watch from the stage.
Grade: A+
This gets an A+ purely for the surprising turn of events we witnessed toward the end of the match. HOOK’s heel turn was a surprise but will definitely freshen things up for the former FTW Champion. Joe standing all bloody and witnessing Swerve enter the ring will go down as one of the greatest visuals in AEW history. I’m not really a fan of wrestlers waiting for security to hit their moves but will make an exception since the ending to AEW Full Gear was that damn good.
Overall Grade: A-
This show was a solid 8.5/10 except for the underwhelming Jon Moxley versus Kyle O’ Reilly match and the AEW Women’s World Championship outing. This is my second favorite ending to an AEW PPV in 2025 with the first being Adam Page’s world title win over Jon Moxley at All In: Texas. We got plenty of stories coming out of the pay-per-view that’ll make Dynamite this Wednesday must-see TV.
