Thankfully, the international break is now over and Premier League football is back!
We are finishing out November with a trip to Newcastle on Saturday afternoon.
It’s our last game until we go into a very busy festive period throughout December, so a win is even more important.
I’m excited for Chelsea to be back and no international breaks now until March, and it’s actually refreshing now this season to be looking forward to Chelsea games again.
I do hold my same fears regarding Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo, who both played in South America this week, travelled the long journey back to the UK, and having to then readjust to major time zone differences just days ahead of a trip up north to The Toon.
But I am actually feeling quite positive for this game and I think we can win it, I really do.
Newcastle are hit with injuries to some key players and it presents a really good chance for Chelsea to go up there and get a result.
I am also confident because we are playing away from home, which seems to be better for us at the moment. And also, because it is a game that will be open and we will not be having to break down a stubborn low block. This also works in Chelsea’s favour right now.
What about the lineup then?
I am wondering if Mauricio Pochettino will just go with the ‘almost winning’ formula from our last game against Manchester City? I can’t see him changing too much at all, if anything.
The only real question for me will be whether Levi Colwill comes back in or not, missing the last game through injury. He is likely to come in for Marc Cucurella if he does come back in. So that will be an interesting one.

The rest of the midfield (providing there are no fatigue issues for Caicedo and Enzo – there very well might be) and attack picks itself right now. You aren’t dropping Caicedo, Enzo, Conor Gallagher, Cole Palmer, Raheem Sterling, or Nico Jackson right now, are you?
So I expect it to be the same, or almost the same starting lineup as we saw in our emphatic 4-4 draw with City.
I honestly think we will go there and win this one. It’s a good time to play Newcastle and I feel our confidence building up.
Let’s start getting excited for this one and build up to the game!
