Oba Femi vs Moose Made Official During 2/25 WWE NXT

The February 25 episode of WWE NXT included some big reasons for fans to tune in. As NXT and TNA Wrestling’s partnership continues, Moose is a part of the plan. This week on NXT, he had quite an opportunity to show off.

Moose showed up during the February 18 episode of NXT to challenge Oba Femi. Fans were very excited to see the current X-Division Champion take on the NXT Champion in any fashion. This week, Moose got a chance to take on Lexis King with the Heritage Cup Championship, but it was the X-Division Title on the line.

This was quite a match for NXT, as it also marked the first-ever X-Division Title defense for the brand. Moose represented The System, and he had an uphill battle against him with the crowd, since they were all for Lexis King as the hometown hero.

This was the second match of the night after Stephanie Vaquer defended her Women’s North American Title. The fans were very hot for the contest as Moose started off by throwing Lexis King around the ring for his 8th televised defense of the X-Division Title.

In the end, Moose stopped Lexis King’s every attempt to gain an upperhand. Fans chanted for NXT, and they popped every time King pulled off a move on the X-Dvision Champion. In the end, Moose was able to kick out of everything King threw at him, which was a lot.

The finish of this match came after Moose nailed a powerbomb for a near fall, which shocked the TNA star. Then he came back to kick out after a Coronation from King. The match finally ended after Moose nailed a spear for the clean win.

After the match was over, Oba Femi walked out to confront Moose. Fans popped in a big way, and the he revealed that the two will wrestle at Roadblock at Madison Square Garden in two weeks.

The two battled through a commercial break as fans needed to be bleeped due to their over-enthusiastic chants. Moose beat Lexis King around the ringside area as King sold for his much larger opponent.
