After football star Kylian Mbappe got offered $776 million for one year to play in Saudi Arabia for Al-Hilal, stars around the world of sports have had their say on it.
Mbappe would not be the first world-class soccer player to leave top competition for the Saudi league. Could that happen in basketball too? And who would be the top candidate to make such a bold move?
We posed that question on Twitter yesterday:
Who’s your top candidate to become the first star to leave the NBA for Saudi money (should a big offer come)?
Why?

Sigh, hate to admit it, but it’s my guy, James Harden. He or Russ have the most star-power in comparison to their likely next salaries/current salaries, so a $50M/yr offer to them would almost certainly work at this point, now that both of their “legacies” look to be concrete.

Definitely Kyrie Irving and he’d try to spin it like he was some Messiah returning to the middle east.
