National Outdoor Opener and age groups events at Districts
Entries are open for the 4J National Outdoor Season Opener on Saturday 26 April at the OnX Leisure Centre, Linwood.
This event offers an early-season competitive opportunity for athletes in the Masters, Seniors, U20 and U18 age groups who have achieved the entry standards.
The competition will be held under a Level 2 UKA competition licence and is eligible for World Athletics rankings. Individual performances will be eligible for consideration for international selections.

Relays
This event will also incorporate new relay opportunities, with Mixed 4x100m and Mixed 4x400m events on offer.
Relay team entries should be submitted as an individual entry with names declared on the day. No prior registration of athletes is required.
Athletes in the same relay team do not need to represent the same club as this is not a championship.
In line with World Athletics guidance, 4x100m will run Female-Female-Male-Male and 4x400m will run Male-Female-Male-Female.
Athletes competing in U18 relay teams must have a date of birth in 2008 or 2009. Athletes competing in Senior teams must have a date of birth in 2009 or earlier.
Entry Standards
Performances from the past two years (2023-2025) will be accepted.
Athletes who enter but have not achieved the entry standard may have their entry rejected and refunded.
It is highly recommended that Para athletes competing this event have a classification or be undergoing the classification process.
There are no entry standards for Para events, but athletes taking part are expected to have the ability and experience to compete at an equivalent competition level.

*The entry standard is not compulsory for steeplechase. Athletes competing in steeplechase for the first time should, however, be experienced middle distance athletes with suitable 1500m or 3000m performances.
