A new report suggests that two TNA champions are currently working without contracts.
Pro wrestling contracts can be tricky sometimes, and it appears The IInspiration are currently working in TNA Wrestling without official contracts. According to a report from Fightful Select, Cassie Lee and Jessie McKay’s deal with the company ended after Bound for Glory on October 12, 2025.
This might surprise fans as The IInspiration are the reigning TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Champions, and some could speculate they might be on their way out of the company. However, the report suggests that the two sides are interested in continuing to work together, and an extension could be on the horizon.
The report also stated that Cassie Lee and Jessie McKay worked on short-term deals with TNA Wrestling, which they preferred.
The IInspiration Recently Returned To WWE As Part Of The TNA Invasion Angle
The IInspiration returned to WWE after four years as part of the TNA Invasion angle in NXT.
Before they rebranded themselves as The IInspiration, Cassie Lee and Jessie McKay were known as The IIconics in WWE, where they are former one-time Women’s Tag Team Champions.
They were released from their contracts in April 2021 due to budget cuts. Following their exit, Jessie McKay and Cassie Lee continued to team outside WWE. They rebranded themselves as The IInspiration and made their TNA Wrestling debuts at Bound for Glory 2021.
After announcing that they would be indefinitely stepping away from in-ring competition in April 2022, Jessie McKay and Cassie Lee returned to TNA Wrestling at Against All Odds in June 2025. The company’s working relationship with WWE allowed McKay and Lee to return to their former employers after four years in September 2025.
They were part of Team TNA on the 4-on-4 women’s Survivor Series-style elimination tag team match against Team NXT at NXT vs. TNA Showdown. However, they couldn’t make much of an impact as Lola Vice eliminated both of them.
