We can talk all we want about which type of golf shoe is better for your game: who should wear spikes, who’s better off going spikeless, what the tour pros are doing. But, sometimes, the most interesting data point is what golfers are spending their money on.
To find out, we asked PGA TOUR Superstore for a look at their top-selling men’s and women’s golf shoe styles so far in 2026.
Here’s what we found.
Men’s golf shoes: Almost right down the middle
When you look at the top men’s golf shoe styles at PGA TOUR Superstore in 2026, the split is essentially even between spiked and spikeless models.
The spiked side
The FootJoy HyperFlex is one of the more notable spiked sellers. FootJoy’s flagship performance shoe features Pulsar LP cleats and a PowerPlate outsole, built for golfers who want a locked-in, stable base through the swing. The FootJoy Premiere Series – Field is another one of the top sellers from PGA TOUR Superstore. The Premiere family was also one of the stronger performers in our own 2026 spiked shoe testing.
The Sun Day Red Pioneer Cypress is another top seller. It’s a spiked shoe that looks almost understated enough to pass for spikeless, which may be part of its broader appeal.

The spikeless side
The FootJoy Pro S/L ’26 is the standout. The shoe got a significant overhaul for 2026. It has new last, new ZTEC upper, redesigned ARCTrax/SL outsole and earned the top spot in our Most Wanted spikeless testing this year, finishing with the highest overall score in the category. It’s also one of the best sellers are PGATSS.
The G/FORE MG4+ O2 and Sun Day Red Presidio are among the spikeless top sellers, which tracks with our own 2026 testing. The Presidio took the top spot in the low-profile spikeless category.
The Jordan AJ1 Low Spikeless is another one that has been popular in 2026. The AJ1 notably appeared on both the spiked and spikeless top sellers lists.

Women’s Golf Shoes: Spikeless in a landslide
If the men’s list tells a story of balance between spiked and spikeless shoes in 2026, the women’s list tells a completely different one. Among the top women’s footwear styles at PGA TOUR Superstore, the overwhelming majority are spikeless.
The Callaway Coronado v4 is one of the few spiked models that made the list of top sellers.
The FootJoy Pro S/L ’26 appears here, too, making it a top seller for both men and women. Many of the shoes on the women’s list lean into lifestyle and sneaker-inspired designs.
The New Balance 327, adidas Gazelle and Skechers Go Golf Flight offer spikeless traction in packages that transition easily on and off the course. The G/FORE Gallivan2r and G/FORE G.112 Kiltie Hybrid represent the fashion-forward end of the market G/FORE has made its signature.
The spikeless dominance in women’s footwear is hard to ignore whether it reflects a preference for comfort and versatility, a shift toward off-course wearability or simply the direction women’s golf footwear has moved as a category.

Final thoughts
The spiked-versus-spikeless debate doesn’t have a definitive winner but in 2026 golfers are still buying them both. Take a look at our complete testing results to see which spiked or spikeless shoe is best for your golf game:
