Our WWE NXT Vengeance Day results for tonight include Tony D’Angelo battling Dion Lennox in a Parking Lot Brawl, Blake Monroe clashing with Jaida Parker in a Street Fight, an NXT Underground match pitting Kelani Jordan against Lola Vice, Tatum Paxley challenging Izzi Dame for the NXT Women’s North American Championship, and Joe Hendry defending the NXT Championship against Ricky Saints. Here’s our review and grades for tonight’s show, live from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando.

WWE NXT Vengeance Day Results:
As the show kicks off, DarkState‘s Dion Lennox is pacing in the parking lot, waiting for Tony D’Angelo.
Street Fight | Blake Monroe vs. Jaida Parker
As soon as the bell rings, Parker tackles Monroe. Monroe and Parker trade strikes. The crowd chants, “Miss Parker!” as Monroe and Parker tumble out of the ring. There are kendo sticks attached to the ropes, but Parker opts for a table under the ring for our first weapon of the night. Monroe boots Parker in the head to stop that table from coming into play. Monroe sets up a DDT on the floor. Parker reverses it into a suplex. Parker goes for the table, but Monroe whacks her with an umbrella. Monroe slides the table back under the ring, much to the NXT Universe’s chagrin. Monroe slides a few chairs into the ring and continues her assault.

Monroe sets a chair up on the ropes. Parker manages to drop Monroe on the chair. Monroe falls to the floor. Parker spears Monroe into the commentary desk. Parker misses Hypnotiq and crashes into the ringsteps, hip first. Missile dropkick by Monroe. Parker kicks out. Monroe works over Parker with a kendo stick. Monroe works over Parker, landing a running hip attack while Parker was sandwiched between chairs. Parker gets to her feet and gets laid out by a shot from Monroe with her hand wrapped in pearls. Parker kicks out. Monroe locks in a crossface using a kendo stick. Parker holds on and breaks the hold.
The Finish
Parker blasts Monroe with a kendo stick repeatedly. Monroe fires up and lands a flurry. Parker hits Monroe with a chair and lays her on a table. Parker lands a slingshot, teardrop hip attack that obliterates Monroe and the table. Monroe is rocked. Parker sends Monroe back into the ring and lands Hypnotic! Monroe kicks out! Parker gets sent into a kendo stick, headfirst. Running knee by Monroe. Parker kicks out. Monroe empties a bag full of diamonds in the middle of the ring. Parker goes up top. Monroe tosses a handful of diamonds into Parker’s face. Monroe hits the Glamour Shot on the diamonds for the win.
Winner- Blake Monroe
Grade: B
This one was exactly what this writer expected: brutal as hell. We have all seen both of these women in wild gimmick matches. There should never have been any doubt that they could deliver an intense and hard-hitting contest. Having this and a parking lot brawl on the same card is a… a choice, but Parker and Monroe’s beef has way more heat and will most likely wash the parking lot brawl later tonight. This match ruled. The IWC can go suck an egg. Also, and this can’t be understated, this match ended essentially via pocket sand. That’s Hall of Fame stuff right there.
Parking Lot Pimpin’
In the parking lot, a car pulls up, and DarkState swarms. It’s not D’Angelo. D’Angelo attacks DarkState from behind with a pipe. Lennox and D’Angelo trade shots. Lennox gets tossed onto a car. Most of the NXT locker room is in the parking lot watching this chaos. D’Angelo launches a beer keg at Lennox. Lennoz narrowly avoids the keg, which destroys the car’s windshield. D’Angelo closes a gate, locking out the rest of DarkState.
Lennox and D’Angelo fight through the backstage area. DarkState keeps jumping in and attacking D’Angelo. OTM jumps in and brawls with DarkState. Lennox and D’Angelo continue fighting through the back. The referee keeps yelling for them to get it to the ring. Lennox and D’Angelo crash through a wall and end up at the ringside area. Both men crawl into the ring, completely exhausted. The referee rings the bell, and both men trade punches.
Parking Lot Brawl | Tony D’Angelo vs. Dion Lennox
Lennox works over D’Angelo in the corner. Spinebuster by Lennox. D’Angelo kicks out. Lennox misses a spear in the corner. D’Angelo destroys Lennox with four straight German suplexes. Torture rack neckbreaker by D’Angelo. Lennox falls out of the ring. D’Angelo follows. Lennox avoids a bull charging D’Angelo, who crashes into the ring steps. Lennox sets D’Angelo’s leg on the ring steps and attempts to crush it with the top section of the ring steps.
D’Angelo moves, but Lennox launches D’Angelo into the front row. Lennox suplexes D’Angelo off the barricade, through the commentary desk! Both men are down. Lennox brings D’Angelo back into the ring and lands a slingshot sitout-powerbomb! Kick out by D’Angelo! D’Angelo fires up and spears Lennox. Sky high spinebuster by D’Angelo! D’Angelo pins Lennox!
Winner- Tony D’Angelo
Grade: B
Ok, maybe this writer spoke too soon. This match was shockingly good. Having the match start in the parking lot and go through multiple areas backstage was such a nice touch. D’Angelo and Lennox Kool-Aid Man’d their way into the arena. And that was all before the official start of the match. This angle is a bit silly, but the amount of aggression these two manifested was impressive. Never thought we would get here, but we need to see these two go at it again.
NXT Women’s North American Championship Match | Izzi Dame (c) vs. Tatum Paxley
Paxley leaps on Dame as soon as the bell rings. Dame struggles to get Paxley off. Dame tosses Paxley away, and Dame rolls out. Paxley follows and flattens Dame with a leaping senton off the steps. Dame almost decapitates Paxley with a running boot. Dame works over Paxley. Paxley fires up and lands a flurry. Dame and Paxley trade shots. Dame runs into a sidewalk slam from Paxley. Paxley crushes Dame with a 450 splash! Kick out by Dame!
Dame escapes Cemetery Drive and lands another big boot. Dame lands a suplex for a nearfall. Paxley surprises Dame with a sunset flip powerbomb off the apron! Both women are down. Paxley sends Dame back into the ring. Shawn Spears gets in Paxley’s face. Paxley is almost counted out. Paxley slides back in, and Dame hits a Sky High. Kick out by Paxley. Dame lands a codebreaker, but Paxley pops back up to her feet and lands a koppo kick! Cemetery Drive by Paxley. Paxley pins Dame!
Winner and NEW Women’s North American Champion, Tatum Paxley!
Grade: B-
Fun match. Paxley may really have some here. The NXT Universe LOVES her, and considering where she started, Paxley is rounding into one of the best women in NXT. Dame is a great foil for Paxley, but we need to see what she has when she’s away from the NXT favorite, werido.

Fatal Influence
Interim NXT GM Mr. Stone is in the ring. Stone introduces Fatal Influence. NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne says she is walking into NXT Stand and Deliver as the NXT Women’s Champion. Jayne gloats over making the haters eat their words. Jayne goes on and on about how great she is and that she should be the main event at NXT Stand and Deliver. A year from that, she’ll be main eventing WrestleMania. Zaria interrupts.
Zaria wants a shot. Sol Ruca is out next. She wants all the smoke with Zaria and Jayne. Stone books a triple threat match: Jacy Jayne defending the NXT Women’s Championship against Zaria and Sol Ruca. Fatal Influence attacks Ruca. Zaria attacks Fatal Influence. Ruca levels Zaria with a nasty Sol Snatcher. Ruca eats a running knee. Fatal Influence celebrates over Zaria and Ruca, who are both laid out.
NXT Underground Match | Kelani Jordan vs. Lola Vice
Vice attempts a takedown. Jordan stuffs it. Vaice struggles to roll Jordan into a submission. Jordan fights out of it. Vice is favoring her injured hand. Vice takes Jordan down in a rear-naked choke. Jordan rolls outto escape and locks in a submission of her own. Vice escapes and lands a few strikes. Jordan slams Vice’s hand into the ring post. Jordan works over Vice’s injured hand. Vice attempts a takedown. Jordan stuffs it. Vaice struggles to roll Jordan into a submission. Jordan fights out of it. Vice is favoring her injured hand.
Vice takes Jordan down in a rear-naked choke. Jordan rolls outto escape and locks in a submission of her own. Vice escapes and lands a few strikes. Jordan slams Vice’s hand into the ring post. Jordan works over Vice’s injured hand. Vice is in a badway. Jordan tries a kick. Vice catches it. Jorda does a backflip and lands on her feet. Vice immediately lands a spinning back fist! Jordan drops like a sack of bricks. Vice dives on Jordan with a NASTY hammer fist. Jordan is out. The referee stops the match.
Winner- Lola Vice
Grade: C+
This one was ok and not as vicious as some of Vice’s previous Underground matches. One thing of note here, the finish of this was nuts. The flip into the backfist into that insane hammerfist was a hello of a finish.
NXT Championship Match | Joe Hendry (c) vs. Ricky Saints
Saints and Hendry trade shots. Hendry falls off the apron and get shis foot caught in the rope. The referee helps free the champ. Saints eats a shoulder block from Hendry, followed by a few chops. Saitns gets sent out to the apron. Hendry brings Saints back into the ring with a stalling suplex for a near fall. Saints works over Hendry. Saints sends Hendry flying with a fallaway slam. Hendry is down. Saints mocks Hendry’s pose. Hendry spears Saints out of his boots. Saints tries a diving rana. Hendry catches Saints and hits a powerbomb. Saints kicks out. Crossface by Saints. Hendry almost makes it to the ropes. Saints transitions into a guillotine. Hendry fades.
Hendry overpowers Saints into a suplex. The crowd chants, “We Believe!” as Hendry fires up. Saints lands a superkick, but misses a moonsault. Saints lands on his feet. Hendry sends Saints to the mat with an Attitude adjustment. Saints kicks out. Avalanche fallaway slam by Hendry! Saints kicks at two. Ethan Page walks down to the ring and picks up the NXT Championship. Saints gets distracted by Page touching the championship.
The Finish
After a bit of back and forth, Saints asks Page to send in the championship. Page tosses in the belt, but it lands near Hendry. Hendry and Saints fight over the championship. When the referee turns his back. Saints kicks Hendry below the belt. Revolution DDT by Saints! Hendry kicks out! Saints sends Hendry into the referee, but Hendry puts on the brakes. While the referee is distracted, Hendry low blows Saints! Standing Ovation by Hendry. Hendry pins Saints.
Winner and STILL NXT Champion, Joe Hendry!
Grade: C+
This was a perfectly fine match, but it felt more like an NXT TV main event and not the main event to the final PLE before Stand and Deliver.
WWE NXT Vengeance Day Review:
Fun show with an apt title. Tonight’s show was the definition of Vengeance. So many utterly brutal contests, save for the somewhat underwhelming main event. Match of the night was tough to call between the street fight and the parking lot brawl, but the creativity behind the parking lot brawl was impressive. What did you think of the show?
