The 2026 NBA Rookie of the Year odds race is hitting the stretch run, and, well, it’s turning back into a competitive race again.

No. 1-overall pick Cooper Flagg was the clear odds-on favorite just two weeks ago, sitting at -700 (an implied probability of 87.5%). However, he’s now just -165 as Charlotte’s Kon Knueppel (his teammate at Duke last season) has closed the gap following a scorching stretch of play — which includes him breaking the NBA rookie record for 3-pointers in a season… in just 59 games.
