It appears Will Ospreay inadvertently played a role in Jeff Hardy’s return to TNA.
During a recent appearance on the I Love Wrestling podcast, TNA World Tag Team Champion Jeff Hardy reflected on his departure from All Elite Wrestling in the summer of 2024.
“Everything’s great, and I feel like we’re exactly where we’re supposed to be. You know, I think everything worked out the way it was supposed to, especially when my AEW deal kind of ran out. There was a part of me that said, ‘I wonder if I should just take this deal from AEW and try to, you know, build myself up into this amazing superhero wrestler and stay there for a year and just see how things go,’” Jeff Hardy said. The Charismatic Enigma also praised Will Ospreay’s brief run in the iMPACT Zone, noting that one of Ospreay’s matches made him realize TNA would be a better fit for The Hardys to revitalize their careers.
“But then I was watching a Will Ospreay match, and I was like, ‘No, I need to go back to TNA. I need to go to TNA. I think I need to go to TNA and tag with my brother, do the Hardys thing, and help them evolve.’ So yeah, I think everything worked out exactly the way it was supposed to,” he said.

Jeff Hardy made his second return to TNA Wrestling at Against All Odds 2024, helping his brother Matt fend off The System. The Hardys would eventually win the TNA World Tag Team Championship at Bound For Glory later that year.
As for Will Ospreay, AEW hyped up his return with a vignette last week on Dynamite. Ospreay last competed for the promotion at Forbidden Door 2025, where he took part in a Lights Out Steel Cage Match. He was written off television following a post-match assault to allow time to heal a herniated disc at the C2 and C6 levels of his spine.
