Scotland U20 team competed at the Manchester International today – with some strong performances against Senior opposition.
There were excellent second places in the Match for young Scots Louis Whyte in the long jump, Ben Heron in the 400m Hurdles, Hannah Ryding in the 1500m, Emma McLennan in the 2000m steeplechase and Reiss Marshall in the 3000m.
The 4x400m Scotland U20 men’s relay team also took a fine second place in their race.
Three athletes posted PB performances on the day – Lidya Woldeselassie, Anna Reid and Emma McLennan.
Steven Bryce won the ambulant 1500m race as one of three athletes competing as part of a scottishathletics Para Project. Sam Fernando was sixth in that race and Cameron Thores was second in the ambulant 400m.
Well done to all the athletes involved competing at the Manchester International and to their families, coaches and clubs.
Many thanks also to the staff team which featured a combination of volunteers and scottishathletics staff members.
