Rockets, Spurs, Lakers, Heat could be in the mix for De'Aaron Fox?

Tim McMahon: Now, if Fox is going to ask out, it seems like the tea leaves are pointing that way. Still, I’m not sure it’s definite. When you’re appearing on podcasts with Draymond Green and laying groundwork, you can see how people read into it (…) If Fox asks out, teams like San Antonio and Houston are the ones to watch. I’ve also heard rumors about the Lakers, but it’s hard to tell how much of that is just speculation because he’s a Klutch client. There’s also been talk about Miami, given his connection to Bam Adebayo. Who knows what other suitors might emerge, or which of these teams will actually pursue him if it comes to that?

De’Aaron Fox, clearly frustrated, was a man of few words while explaining the foul on Jaden Ivey. He was pretty detailed about the 37-22 4th quarter collapse from his Kings, after tonight’s loss to the Pistons.

Tonight was De’Aaron Fox’s 500th game for the Sacramento Kings.
Even with most being during losing seasons, Fox has been far more responsible for great things in Sacramento than bad things.

Mike Brown didn’t need to yell to get his point across in postgame tonight. His words were blunt and clear. And a lot of them involved De’Aaron Fox. – 12:53 AM

Jaden Ivey sinks the free throw, De’Aaron Fox’s halfcourt heave is no good and the Pistons shock the Kings in Sacramento 114-113 as the losing skid hits 5 games. Unreal finish. Ivey finishes with 19 points, Cade Cunningham 33 for Detroit. Fox 26 for Sac. – 12:34 AM

Nothing easy. In fact, very poetic. De’Aaron Fox just fouled Jaden Ivey who pumped and buried a triple with 3.1 on the clock. A 4 point play as Ivey heads to the FT line. – 12:31 AM

Malik Beasley and the Pistons ride a big momentum swing to cut what was a 19 point Kings lead to just one point before De’Aaron Fox puts Sacramento back on top 111-108 with 18.7 to play. Beasley 22 points off the Pistons bench, Fox up to 26 points for Sac. – 12:24 AM

More on this storyline

Draymond Green: One of my biggest failures as a vet was the incident with Jordan Poole. And it took me to go through that failure with him, who was someone who came in and chose his locker to be next to me because he wanted to learn from me, who was someone that I would spend time with that I would pour into and I f—– it all up. I haven’t felt that miserably at most things in my life, so that was one of my biggest failures. It taught me a ton. It showed me how to be a better vet for Jonathan Kuminga, how to be a better vet for Moses Moody. But I had to go through that in order to learn. It sucked. But being that vet now and just wanting to pour into these guys, I think the most important thing for me is learning how to. With Poole, I wanted to pour into him as well and I did pour into him but the how-to I didn’t necessarily know. And because I didn’t know, it led us to play that you kinda can’t come back from. But for these younger guys, I know not to get close to that place. -via YouTube / December 27, 2024
Anthony Slater: Steph Curry will not play in Los Angeles against the Clippers tomorrow night. Managing his knee tendinitis on the front side of a back-to-back. Warriors are at home vs Clippers on Saturday night. Draymond Green is questionable vs Clippers. -via x.com / December 26, 2024
Schroder finally scored in double-figures for the first time with the Warriors with 11 points, five assists and one steal during the loss to the Lakers. He said his biggest challenge is fitting in on the court with the Warriors, most notably their four-time NBA champions Stephen Curry and Draymond Green, who he views as future Hall of Famers. Dennis Schroeder says it reminds him of the challenge of playing with LeBron James when he was a Laker. “When you have two Hall of Famers, you don’t want to take anything away from them,” Schroder said. “You just got to fit in. They want me to fit in, of course, but I got to play my style as well. To combine that, we just have to keep working on it. But we still have to get wins… “I had it in L.A., same thing. You play, but you know LeBron James is on that court. Same here. Steph Curry is one of the best players who ever played. Draymond. It’s a different presence. But I still got to play my game. If I feel comfortable, you know what I can do [on the] defensive side and offensive side. But I need to feel comfortable. And when I feel comfortable, it’s going to shift.” -via Andscape / December 26, 2024
