Road Race GP 2024 – full details
Eight athletes landed shares as our Road Race Grand Prix concluded with the Scottish 10K champs.
The event at Stirling last weekend saw four men and four women run inside the A and B standards asked for that distance.
And that concluded the five race series over 2024 with no fewer than 31 different athletes – 17 men and 14 women – to share the overall prize pot of £4000.
scottishathletics now plan to distribute the Road Race GP prize money after strong performances in Scottish Championship events on the roads this year.
Gold and silver medallists Jamie Crowe (Central AC) and Taha Ghafari (Shettleston Harriers) in the men’s race posted A standards with their runs of 29:42 and 20:53 respectively.
There were B standards, too, for bronze medallist Michael Ferguson (Aberdeen AAC) at 30:21 and fourth-placed Lewis Rodgers (Fife AC) at 30:26 (sub 3:30 was the B standard).

In the women’s race the top three were all inside the A standard asked for at the Scottish 10k Champs.
Fionnuala Ross (Shettleston Harriers) clocked 33:17; Nancy Scott (Edinburgh Ac) was at 33:51 and Kirsty Walker (Edinburgh AC) was at 34:14.
Fourth placed Millie McClelland-Brooks (Inverclyde AC) was inside the B standard with her run of 34:41.
Well done to all these athletes and their coaches and clubs.
