Alex Rins held off compatriot Alex Marquez to win the Aragon MotoGP on Sunday with one other Spaniard Joan Mir ending third to take the championship lead from Fabio Quartararo.

South Africa’s Brad Binder led to 11th.

Rins gained his first victory at MotoGP and is the eighth winner on this season’s ten races.

Frenchman Quartararo, who began from pole, struggled and retired after falling out of the factors.
