*Please note this is ‘edited highlights’ of events from three venues and while hopefully as comprehensive as possible, further medal details (teams etc) are on the Results links. Thanks to a number of folk for help with this round-up and photos.
Logan Rees and Nancy Scott won the Senior titles at the Lindsays East District XC at Stirling.
Central AC were our host club at Stirling Uni and had to settle for silver medals in those races for Jamie Crowe and Morag Millar.
Fife AC athlete Logan (pictured above by Neil Renton) was ‘back on the bike’ after his Liverpool pain and stretched away on the last lap to win from Jamie.
Edinburgh AC’s Nancy, who won the Lindsays Short Course title at Kirkcaldy earlier this month, took another victory.
Central AC won both the team titles with Edinburgh AC and Gala on the podium in the Women’s race and Corstorphine and Fife AC on the podium in the Men’s. There were Masters titles for HBT (Women) and Metro Aberdeen (Men).
The East U20 titles were won by Harris Pagett of Strathearn Harriers and Stirling Uni’s Millie Breese.
Strathearn won a second title at U17 thanks to Eilidh Dallas as Ray Taylor of Falkirk won the Men’s U17 title.

Lynn McKenna and Taha Ghafari gave Shettleston Harriers a gold medal double at the Lindsays Wests District XC.
Kilbarchan AAC were our hosts for a new championshjp venue at Barwood Park – with the Erskine Bridge and Kilpatrick Hills as the backdrop.
Conditions were benign for this time of year and in contrast to the snow of Strathaven some 12 months previously.
Lynn led the Women’s race out and was never really under threat as Rosa Donaldson of Bellahouston Harriers took the silver with 2023 champion, Eve Mackinnon of Cambuslang Harriers, completing the podium.
The Men’s race was very competitive initially with a strong group that featured Andy Douglas of Inverclyde AC and Scott Stirling of Falkirk Vics, racing via his West District residency.
Jamie Burns of Shettleston returned after an injury and took a well-earned third place as his Shettleston club-mate Taha proved just too quick over the last 100m to edge out new Cambuslang recruit, Kevin Campbell.
Cambuslang took a double in terms of the team titles – their women winning gold from Shettleston and Garscube. The Cambuslang men had four in the top 12 to win emphatically from Shettleston and Bellahouston Harriers.
The U20 individual titles went to Giffnock duo Oliver MacDonald and Saoirse McNulty while at U17 there were golds for Daibhidh Kinnaird of Cambuslang and Zara Redmond of Kilbarchan.
At U15 level, the West champions were Louie Muir (Giffnock) and Grace Barry (Inverclyde AC). Our West U13 champions were Evan Tyler (Giffnock) and Emma Nicholson (Giffnock).
Giffnock won team titles at U13 Girls, U13 Boys, U15 Girls and U15 Boys. Kilbarchan won U17 Men team golds and Giffnock took the U17 Women race. At U20, Giffnock won both titles as well!
Garscube won the Women’s Masters golds and Cambuslang won the Men’s Masters race.

East Sutherland’s Ross Gollan, the 2022 National silver medallist, was the runaway men’s winner at the Lindsays North District championships at Gordonstoun.
He crossed the line in 24:49, a minute and 43 seconds clear of his brother Ruairidh with Lochaber’s Ryan MacKay third in 26:52.
The individual 1-2 was also enough to give East Sutherland the team title in a closer than expected battle with Highland Hill Runners, with Moray third.
Inverness’s Helen Leigh (30:01) was a comfortable winner of the women’s title from Sarah Hodgson (31:04) whose fellow Highland Hill Runner Molly Rasch was third, paving the way for HHR team success ahead of Inverness and Lochaber.
East Sutherland’s Gordon Lennox was first male V40 and the Hill Runners took the Masters’ team title while Gordonstoun’s Hamish Martindale was leading U20.
Leigh was also women’s Masters champion while the Hill Runners won that team award. Shetland’s Layla Todd took U20 women’s gold by the huge margin of almost two minutes.
Inverness Harriers had the biggest share of the Young Athletes’ titles with individual successes for Anna Meek (under 15 girls), Archie Grant (U13 Boys) and Niamh Doorley (U13 Girls), plus team wins in the U15 Girls and both U13 races.
However Ross County weren’t far behind when Andrew Baird led home a team that had a clean sweep of the U17 men’s individual medals. Billy Sutherland took the U15 Boys title while Ross County became U17 Women’s team champions as well.
And the long trip was also worthwhile for Stornoway who returned across The Minch with U15 Boys’ team gold and the U17 Women’s title for Abbie Stewart.
With thanks to Charles Bannerman
