Motorsport: Scott McLaughlin crashes out, Scott Dixon second in latest ‘virtual’ IndyCar race


McLaughlin and Aussie Will Energy have been jostling for the lead when the pair have been hit by lapped driver Oliver Askew.

Energy and McLaughlin collided with one another, triggered a spectacular crash for McLaughlin, whereas Energy soldiered on with a broken entrance wing to complete third. 

Amongst the chaos, Pagenaut, the 2019 Indianapolis 500 winner, took the lead and held off Dixon for victory. 

Subsequent weeks race takes place on the Circuit of the Americas, ahead of the sequence finale on May 2 at a non-IndyCar dream monitor.
