F1 ACADEMY has announced a partnership with Away which will see the leading luggage brand support Scottish driver Logan Hannah, who joins the grid as the Wild Card Entry for the final round of the season in Abu Dhabi.

As part of the partnership, Hannah will take to the track at Yas Marina Circuit in an Away-branded livery and race suit, a testament to the brand’s commitment to supporting female talent in motorsport. The F1 ACADEMY series finale takes place this weekend alongside Formula 1 at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

The 22-year-old’s career started in karting in the Sodi World Series, before stepping into single-seater racing in 2017 and becoming the first female driver to compete in the Formula 4 UAE series. Hannah’s preparation began in October when she got behind the wheel of the F1 ACADEMY car for the first time at an Official Test at the Yas Marina Circuit.

“This is an incredible opportunity for me to race on an unparalleled platform,” said Hannah. “As someone who loves to travel and experience new places, it’s amazing to be supported by a brand like Away that not only celebrates exploration but is also dedicated to empowering women. I’m excited to take on this challenge in Abu Dhabi, where I grew up karting and my career began, knowing I’m part of a mission to help create opportunities for the next generation of women in motorsport. I also want to say a personal thank you, Susie [Wolff], the entire F1 ACADEMY team, and Away for this opportunity.”

The Wild Card was introduced this season as an initiative to strengthen the talent pool in the regions where F1 ACADEMY races. So far this year, five talented drivers have featured on the grid as part of the initiative, giving them an unparalleled opportunity to demonstrate their skills in F1 ACADEMY machinery.

Following the success of the initiative in its inaugural year Wild Card entries will continue for the 2025 season, which will feature 14 races across seven rounds across three continents as a support race to the FIA Formula One World Championship.
