Domestic Cricket League To Start On July 11th


The Bermuda Cricket Board [BCB] introduced the beginning of the 2020 Home Cricket League, saying that from July 11 by September 6 matches can be performed in a twenty20 format at 4 venues.

A spokesperson stated, “The Bermuda Cricket Board is happy to announce the beginning of the 2020 Home Cricket League.

“From July 11 by September 6, Premier and First Division league matches can be performed in a twenty20 format at 4 venues across the Island – St. Davids County Cricket Membership, St. George’s Cricket Membership, Somerset Bridge Recreation Membership [White Hill Field] and Somerset Cricket Membership.

“As a result of ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, guidelines and laws [to be released on July 3] set out by the Authorities and the BCB can be enforced on the grounds earlier than, throughout and after match play with the intention to maintain gamers, officers and spectators as secure as doable.”
