Hola a todos, and welcome to the CMLL Weekly Review! This week the CMLL celebrated the 66th anniversary of La Arena Coliseo de Guadalajara with an eight-Amazon tag team match.
The match was as messy as it was entertaining, involving the team-up of La Catalina, Kira, and the CMLL World Women’s Tag Team Champions Las Chicas Indomables (Lluvia and Jarochita) against Dark Silueta, Sanely, Valkyria, and Persephone.
Dark Silueta channeled her inner Luna Vachon attacking Lluvia with a bouquette of flowers, allowing for her team mates to attacked their rivals to start the match. Las rudas pretty much dominated the first fall only for the ring leader Dark Silueta to get the first win.
Their dominance continued for the second fall until they were surprised by the babyfaces, allowing Lluvia to get the pin after a distraction.
After getting even, in the third fall the tables turned by attacking Dark Silueta in unison and taking the fight to the outside of the ring; eventually, las técnicas were able to get the job done, getting the big win for their team. Post-match, the women continued to fight, prompting the heels to run away.
Last Friday, the CMLL Japanese Women’s Champion Lluvia teamed up with her daughter Tabata to take on her rival Dark Silueta and Hera.
In an impressive encounter, all four participants did their best to impress, including the signature high-flying moves, including a Spanish fly to the outside of the ring. Still, the mother and daughter duo was unable to win the match. The heels won the two falls back-to-back, finishing things up with a bridging German suplex.
Postmatch Dark Silueta challenged Lluvia for a title match for the CMLL Japanese Women’s Championship.
